From BBC sport webby

Robin van Persie wasted a series of chances but Arsenal stayed top of Group G despite a lacklustre 0-0 stalemate against Fenerbahce that prompted boos from the home crowd.

We certainly had an element of luck in our win against the scousers, Benitez pointing this out is not the same as him saying his side has never been lucky.

But has Benitez ever allowed that his team has been lucky?

The answer to that, SS57, is a resounding NO!!

FFS, by rights they shouldn't be in the Champions League this year; they were completely outplayed by Standard, and could have been 3-0 down going into the second leg.

That's no wins in 3 now, against Spurs, Stoke & Fenebarche.

If i was a Mail journo, i'd be thinking along the headlines of 'CRISIS AT ARSENAL'.

Then again, if i was a Mail journo, i'd hang myself.

seems wenger is making more excuses now and saying his players are fatigued

4 games in 11 days, poor little arsenal, they must be the only team who do that, hmmm maybe not.

He seems to think every team are after his beloved kids now after last nights game against Fener. Fener committed 17 fouls in the game 3 bookings, Woolwich committed 17 fouls 2 bookings. If they lose on Saturday which i think they will their bleak attempt for the title will surely be over and who knows what excuses the paedo will come out with after that. im sure the conspiracy that the whole of football is against Woolwich will gather pace, not the fact that they aren't as good as they think they are.

Hypothetically, if we were managerless, and Wenger was available, and willing to come, would you want him...

For me its a definete yes, but whenever I say this to any other yid they think I'm a mentalist

It seems to me that Wenger is desperately trying to divert criticism from his own and his team's shortcomings. It's now nearly five years since the Invincibles, and almost four since they won anything at all—a third of Wenger's reign. It's always rash to write them off, but it seems to me that rather a lot is wrong at the moment and it's not easy to see how it's going to get fixed in a hurry.

I don't think there's any doubt Wenger is one of the best managers in the world. As much as i hate to say it, Arsenal play brilliant football and i think everyone knows that. Their problem is that they don't have an Ian Wright to finish off their moves otherwise they'd be top of the league. That aside, Wenger isn't very likeable and rarely admits when he's fucked up. He's had bundles and bundles of red cards in his time there and still acts like the victim of rough tactics.

So basically, great manager, bit of a ****y person.

SS57, youre right about it being rash to write Arsenal off at the moment. that said however, it is absolutly hilarious watching Arsenal, and Wenger implode. even more so considering it was the game against us last week which seems to have been the catylist for their implosion.

Cant wait till tommorrow to see what crap Wenger spouts next.

Unless Wenger can sort this out, i can see Villa finishing fourth this season and the arse once again potless.

After reading Arsenalmania, I'm speechless.

A substantial number of Goons want to get rid of Wenger!

WTF?

For all Wenger's failings, Le Arse are still a top 4 team, who have been regularly playing in the Champions League for 10 odd years. Not only that, but Arse play some of the best football in the country.

So why do they want to sack him? Because they haven't won anything in 3-4 years! I'm afraid they need to get things in perspective.

Firstly, most supporters and clubs across Europe would KILL to have an exciting team, such as Le Arse, and would also KILL to be playing in the UEFA cup, let alone the Champions League, week in week out.

Secondly, Wenger doesn't have a whole lot of cash at his disposal, what with their stadium, etc. He certainly doesn't have the filthy-luca that Man Utd, Chelsea and now Man City have at their disposal. All in all, on a budget, he's doing pretty well.

Thirdly, those Goons are deluded if they think they're going to regularly challenge the likes of Man Utd and Chelsea. The latter two teams have real strength and depth in their squads and millions of pounds to strengthen them further. While I'm at it, as above, I may as well throw Man City into the mix as well, because they'll be mobilising soon. The Goon fans have grown too big for their boots. The Premier League has moved on from 5 years ago to the point where it is now probably the toughest league in the world to win! Finishing in the top 5 in the EPL is a great achievement.

Fourthly, those moron Goons should be grateful at what they have, and what they've achieved. I think I've pretty much said this already, but what the hell, it needs to be reiterated for those thick-headed spoilt little twats.

Fifthly, take a leaf out of Spurs' book - don't be rash to sack your manager because even if you get someone in with real pedigree, it can all turn to shit within the space of a year!!

Sixthly, which manager do they suppose will come waltzing into the Emirates to take the reigns from Wenger? And will this manager have enough about him to bring the good times back to Le Arse, baring in mind what I've mentioned above; no money and at least 3 competitors with tons of money.

Holy shite, I can't believe I'm sticking up for Wenger - I feel all dirty and the police will have me under survelliance.

Anyway, I hope they do sack him and the club goes into free-fall; it's what they've deserved for a very long time!

After reading arsemania i am not speachless, in fact its just what i expected. Most on there started supporting the arse because of wenger and his success.
Support for them dosn't extend to watching them lose, christ glory boys who jump on the bandwagon as its rolls by just won't have that.:)

Last seasons victory in the Demolition Derby proved that, after 60 minutes they were streaming out the exits, gawd i hope none were hurt in the crush.
