So how professional are your observations? Spursking professional?

Thanks for them anyway.

Unfortunately, my powers are restricted to the Transfer Rumours forum.

Come on mate, at least make an effort; spell 'Modric' right!

Oh, hang on, it was a pun, wasn't it?

Please say it was a pun...

I have seen about 5 games of each of those 2 players and I can tell ya from what Ive seen Modric is 2 times the player of Arshavin who althogh has his momments of brilliance he can be infuriating at times. Modric is a lot more mobile his center of gravaty is lower and is a lot more silky and skillfull. but they both have good vision. TBH I am a lot more impressed with "other" players in Zenit then Arshavin

I think Arshavin will cost an absulute minimum of £12m so Its not all that different, and who says we cant have both!?

That is a shocking spelling of Modric. If anyone can (unknowingly) better that I'll buy them an ice cream. I'd say a beer but anyone like that really shouldn't be drinking. Mental note to self: remove flake so they don't poke themselves in the eye with it.

Anyway, I've seen a lot more of Arshavin and he's a lovely player. I'd be delighted with him at the Lane. I'm not sure how you work out that he is twice as good as Modric, but will take your word for it...or perhaps not.

In any case, he would certainly be at least 10-12m. Modric was 16m INCLUDING the ridiculous installments I believe. If I heard correctly then we've paid as little as 5m up front, which seems rather a good deal to me.

Anyway, thank you kindly for your input. Always enjoy reading your threads. They remind me of how important funding for Mental Care workers is and not to take the Social Services for granted.

I've also noticed Cristiano Ronaldo also appears a better player than Modric. We should have signed him. £100m isn't too much to ask Levy for.

Arshavin is 27 while Modric is 23.. ofcourse Modric is going to cost more!

Modric is deffo the better player, more consistent and has proven him self by playing well for Croatia...

Do Zenit even need to sell their best players?? If anything I feel they will be looking to improve their squad to become a big player in the CL scene

They don't need, but they have to sell if price is right as bunch of unhappy players doesn't do good for the team. Like Advocaat said.

Yes but as an upwardly mobile club with money to burn is it likely that any of their players will be pushing for a move away.

I'd imagion that Russian players will be happy to be part of a team doing the things they are doing

its hard to became big player in CL because their oponents in Russian League are not from the Calibre of the clubs in CL. Its very hard to be from the best when you plays against weaker oposition

Arshavin WAS 3 times cheaper BEFORE Zenit winning the UEFA Cup , after that his price has grow as the price from the other players from Zenit , its true that Mordic is younger from Arshavin but so what , you forget what hapened with the Expensive Young Players who had come till now in Spurs .We need some expiriense and creativity , lets hope Mordic is the answer to the creativity problem.

Arshavin is an exceptional player he really is, Its a long time since i saw a player work magic like that around the box,his range of passing was superb and his deliveries are evil for want of a better word,I would love him at spurs,HOWEVER i think he a taylor made replacement for Hleb at goons, they are the same to me with Hleb perhaps edging it on the pace side,I wouldn't be suprised at all to see Arshavin in a goon shirt next year providing Hleb has gone...AS for Modric, he will turn out to be exceptional,of this i have no doubt what so ever, its just a matter of deploying him in the right set up at spurs and this is a problem weve had with many a star in the past, weve turned great players into poor ones beacause we've played them in the wrong way.....OVER TO YOU JUANDE!
