I think he's posted what a lot of people on here have been saying for years

Paul Hayward is hardly clueless and I'm sure he's open to a lot of information we don't hear.

Levy's brinkmanship has set us back before for everyone with short memories

I must have a short memory?

It's a dreadful article

The comments thread, however, is very good showing that a) most spurs fans away from talksport have realistic ambitions and b) other clubs' fans are all yearning for a chairman like Levy

Berbatov sold on deadline day with no replacement?

Relegation zone?

Comolli fired?

Ramos fired?

Remember that?

I'm not saying that Levy's negotiating style has never failed, but that article was an massively over-simplistic, ill thought out piece of generalisation which could have been written by any ignorant Levy bashing muppet on any football forum. IT made no reference to the fact that the policies Levy has instigated have seen us sign some fantastic footballers, and great prices/wages that have seen us rise from joke team flirting with obscurity back to competing with some of the biggest and best clubs in europe, despite being a a much smaller club with no outside revenue stream.

If we hadn't signed Adebayor yet you'd probably all be agreeing with him.

Overall Levy has been great for Spurs but as Pink says there are times when his penchant for a bargain scuppers our progress on the pitch.

Not buying a striker last season cost us Champs League football, £27m in potential earnings and maybe Modric.

It's possible to appreciate the job Levy's done while criticising some of the decisions he's made.

If we lose to Man City that is 6 points given away before we started. We didn't have a DM because we hadn't sold Palacios and hadn't bought Parker or Diarra. Any money we save on these deals could be lost by missing out on Champs League by a few points at the end of the season

I have to say I have had my misgivings in the past about Levy, but he will not let Twitchy take us the route of West Spam, Southhampton and Pompey. Good article

Man Utd, Man City and Liverpool have all started the season well.

Could it have anything to do with getting most of their transfers in at the beginning of the window so the manager could prepare properly?

I reckon so! Any money we've saved will be lost if we miss champions league football.
