Hello. I'm in the very fortunate position of interviewing the legendary Edgar Davids tomorrow. He's in KL to promote street football and I'll be at the press conference, plus should be able to get some one-on-one time (ooh err) with him afterwards.

You lot have been great at suggesting questions for previous interviewees, so I open this thread for any things you'd like to know of Big Eddie D, as he's never called. Of course, any questions and full answers will be posted here as soon as I can.

Setting the bar nice and low, my first question (note my annoying tendency to suck up, prattle on, stray from my original point, ask fifteen questions in one, and generally irritate the shit out of anyone and everyone listening including the interviewee - years of journalism training taught me that), is as follows:

Edgar, you endeared yourself to Spurs fans such as myself in your very first home game when you upended Ray Parlour directly in front of the fans, challenging then lifting the former Arsenal player clean off the ground. As the football season starts, how important is it for players to quickly earn popularity with the fans? And were you aware of the reaction to the Parlour incident? Was it as enjoyable for you as it was for us fans?

Do you wish you had made the barca move permanent? and what do you think when people say you saved barca's season and if you didn't save it, they wouldn't be dominating as much as they have in the last 7 years?

Although not Spurs related, I would ask him about his midfield battles with Roy Keane in those classic Juve v United CL matches, and how, for the viewer, it was like watching two boxers going toe to toe. How intense were those midfield clashes, and were there plenty of verbals flying around between him and Keane?

Do you wish you would off paced yourself more in the Premiership instead of running around the pitch like a man man for 70 mins and then dying on your arse in the last 20?

Either...

After playing for Ajax, AC Milan, Juventus, Barcelona and Inter Milan how did it feel to step up and play for a true foolball giant in Tottenham Hotspur? (y)

Or

What drove him to use performance enhancing drugs? and was his ban long enough? :cautious:

You pick.

Some brilliant questions here, guys. Thanks very much. I'm going to look almost competent for a change. ;)

Regarding the drugs and the dying on his arse stuff, I'll play it by ear...

Apropos of this, an amusing aside which I thought worth sharing. Was just checking Supered's wiki page before heading to the interview and at the top there is a line that says:

Not to be confused with David Edgar (footballer)

Yeah, I bet that happens ALL the time...

Ask him if he loves me as much as I love him.

He was a hero at Juve for me & at Spurs. He played in both my fav teams

While all the other passgengers and I, on flight easyjet 765 from Amsterdam to Stanstead, were lined up along the wall having our crotches sniffed by security dogs, did you feel slightly envious after bypassing the attention us potential criminals were getting from the hot canines - considering you're half pitbull?
