Headline news is that Rose returns to the squad - presumably we've yet to find a buyer. N'Koudou similarly travels, but Onomah does not - perhaps a move away is more imminent for him, with there being talk of involvement in the Sessegnon transfer Aurier has had surgery on his hand and is in non-contact training, while Wanyama has hurt his knee today (yes, water IS wet!) and is staying in London for assessment.

And Eric Dier and Ben Davies are still recovering from injury.

Looking forward to this. Fantastic that both our games there are on ITV4. I went with my dad and Fulham-supporting brother a few years ago, was brilliant. Nacer Chadli was tearing it up. Bale scored against us, muted celebration. Good times.

It'll be good to see some of the youngsters get more of a run-out, but this is a thin squad... again :meh:

How is it thin ? 26 players with 4 senior players injured. Our main squad is currently 22. Add a 3rd GK 23. Parrott will almost certainly be in this season imo 24. And hopefully couple more coming. So will likely be at 25. City and Liverpool currently have 22.

My thoughts exactly, this is not a thin squad. This also misses Davies, Dier, Aurier and wanyama because of surgery and fitness.

GK : Lloris, Gazzaniga, Whiteman

RB: Walker-Peters, Foyth

LB: Rose, Georgiou

CB: Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Sanchez, Tanganga

CM: Ndombele, Sissoko, Winks, Skipp, Marsh, White

Attacking midfielders/wingers : Eriksen, Dele, Roles Son, Moura, Lamela, N'Koudou

Strikers: Kane , Parrott

It's looking thin for the first couple of league games though assuming the injured players don't return, we don't include youth teamers with no/virtually no game time, and N'Koudou isn't deemed good enough.

Two empty spaces on the subs bench (filled by youth who won't come on unless we're at least a couple goals up against Villa), and can't really play three at the back as it'd mean no substitute defenders at all.

Yes, I didn't word it very well. It's a nice combination of youth and experience for the cup, but going into the Villa game next week, it looks a little thin on experience. Full backs, defensive mids etc.

Still 12 days till Villa. Aurier will be available and I’d guess Davies. No idea what’s up with Dier or wanyama. And I think we’d all be hugely surprised if no more players come in. As said I’d be surprised if our squad isn’t 24 + Parrott come the Villa game.

What has happened to Cameron Carter-Vickers ? I haven't heard of him since his loan at swansea last year. I wonder if he will be used this season.

Looking forward to seeing Tanganga again, he looked composed when i watched the juve game i recorded.

Pardon?

Never said Bale was doing anything, just that I saw him playing for RM when Spurs were in the Audi Cup a few years ago. Not sure what you mean on the trains bit at all.

Did you forget Foyth?

RM will be looking for a result after the humiliation against Atletico. Poch will be working on tactics and fitness.

I expect they will play most of their starters against us, while we take the same approach we did in Asia - half the squad will be starters, half will be youth. Then, when we play Fenerbahçe on Wednesday, we will rotate the squad again.

I was referring to the fact that Bale is not in the squad for tomorrow's Audi Cup match. (He isn't coming) That's all.
.
I was also referring to the fact that trains are not running on Sunday for the match. Just thought I'd mention it in passing. (The trains aren't coming)
