We were pretty open at Everton ?

It depends what you define as open? I would say open football is committing alot of men forward at every attack.so much so that team shape and structure becone an after thought.

At Everton our shape and structure was good we just couldn't keep possession of the football so Everton kept coming back at us.

8th Q @Harrishotspur How can you describe the atmosphere of being the Spurs manager? #SpursQandA

Andre: It’s great because of the philosophy of the Club want to implements what I think about football & the way we should play”
“I think we should have a go, play well and be open. Obviously in any quest of a football team it is to be successful”
“Ideally we want to mix the two. Sometimes we have done that this season and been brilliant”
“Other times we haven’t got what we wanted but played well. We want to take the Club to the future”
“It’s an honour to be at a Club who want to protect these values and we are reminded everyday..because they are present in our training ground”
"The players we are trying to bring in and have here also embrace that philosophy which we want to carry into the future”

Interesting, haven't really seen us play too well for the majority Andre, and I can't really remember us really having a go at any team. We have certainly played open footy though... when defending that is

I'm going to be optimistic though, especially as he gives a massive hint at new arrivals, that things may pick up and eventually we could see a more positive style of play.

I don't think our shape was great. I think there were times when Everton were afforded big wide open spaces, and not because we had just been attacking, just because we weren't working hard or coherently to maintain a good shape.

Our left side is shockingly poor the majority of our failure comes down that side....we should play Sandro left side of midfield.

Which bit of 'Public Relations Exercise' do some of you not understand?
The proof of whether he is a true Lillywhite will be on the field by the end of the season
not in media question and answer sessions.
It's the managerial equivalent of kissing the badge when you score.

I think that was an excellent bit of interaction from the club. Of course it has to be carefully monitored, mostly cause all the **** journo's that work in this country will be on him like a fucking house on fire if he slips up with any answers.

But top effort from the club in terms of embracing the internet culture. (y)

o_O

Are you suggesting dropping Bale?
Of course not, my explaination was not clear enough....what I meant to say was that in a 4231 we tend to set up with Sandro on the right hand side of the two with either Dembele or other starting from the left, for better protection on our weaker left side it would be defensively better to have Sandro covering the left side (LCM) of the pitch.

I did say left side of midfield not left wing.
