Evenin' all,

I'm not a member or season ticket holder at Spurs (tend to get to a couple or three games a season on general sale), and I'm wondering if I stand even a cat in hell's chance of getting tickets in the Spurs end for our match at Leicester on Boxing Day. I understand that normally Away tickets would get sold out to Members/ST Holders long before they make it to general sale, but I was hoping that a combination of Leicester being a fairly unglamorous side in addition to the fact it was the Boxing Day game might mean that I could get 2x tickets as a non-member?

For you ladies and gents who regularly do Away days, do you reckon I have even a long shot at this? Ta muchly for your wisdom in advance.

There's a good chance. I've been to Villa Park twice on Boxing Day over the last few years and both times it went on general sale

I think you should be alright, the only obstacle could be because it's a ground we haven't been to for a while, some members/ST may make more of an effort to go. Similar happened when Saints came up I think. Tried to get tickets for that but was a high loyalty points cut off. Although I'm fairly sure it will still end up general sale

Does anyone know if Burnley away is likely to be on general sale? I'd also like to go to the Etihad or OT but surely i'd need to be a member for those two?

You should be alright again. I've been to OT twice and both on general sale. Although one was a Monday night and other was NYD last season

There was a thread on this not long ago. Check this out: http://www.spurscommunity.co.uk/index.php?threads/away-games-loyalty-points.111203/

Tommo posted a table which shows the cut off for each game the last two seasons. Think you'll be surprised about how many actually go to general sale. The only difficult ones are usually London/ South

I think for all three you need to be a member. New grounds are always difficult.

You will be alright on boxing day I would have thought.

Only thing to be conscious of regarding Burnley is that Turf Moor holds less than 30,000 (about 22,000 I think), so our allocation will be less than the usual 3,000. This is also a reason why the Soton game usually requires a high number of loyalty points.

Leicester on Boxing Day could well be fine though - the lack of trains running on the national network will make it much less appealing to the ST Holders based in and around London.

Confirmed leicester away Boxing Day tickets went to all applications with 50 loyalty points or more

I shall be there, but if anyone has a spare to sell please send me a message as desperate to get one for a family member with not enough points...after all Xmas is about family! (y)

Worth giving Spurs a ring every day to see if any have been returned - a mate told me this last year and I thought he was taking the P'ss but I rang every day for 10 days before the Cardiff match and most days was told that they'd all been allocated etc [which I knew], but then on the Wednesday before some tickets had been returned and got 2 tickets. Rang back 30 mins later and got another one for mate's mrs. Paid £6 postage and had them the next day!

Am going to Swansea on Sunday and cant wait :) [only an hour away instead of a 6 hour trek to London]

Would also say have a look at@HotspurTickets on Twitter [genuine fans selling tix at face value], been quite a few Swans tix floating around this week and there's Burnley ones on there now
