Tottenham have handed a trial to 16 year old OH Leuven and Belgian left back Axel Frix. #THFC (@HLNinEngeland)

Zo weet Het Nieuwsblad.

Any LB will do.
PS! Strictly speaking, this is not a rumour/specutation though - but rather a fact (and thus should be in the Spurs chat forum).

It's nice to see us actively seeking young talent from all parts of the world.

As for the more immediate future, I think we can rely on Ezekiel Fryers next season as a utility player in defense. He's looked good enough at LB and has been decent lately at CB. A Bruno Martins Indi type, basically.

While Axel Frix won't be an answer for the immediate need at LB, so long as Rose doesn't continue to be the answer that's the biggest thing.

thought he was shocking myself.. nice thru ball for fulham ala naughton style for their equaliser haha...would sell myself if we could get money... will never be a regular and personally i would never have him in a position to challenge for one either..

It may not be a bad career move to continue to play in Belgium, where'll be more likely to play regularly for a 1st team (most probably Anderlecht or Standard Liege, as stated).

sounds like we have signed this guy:

Spurs are believed to have signed Belgium wonderkid Axel Frix, a young left-back on the books of OH Leuven, according to reports in the Times of Malta.

Spurs scout David Magrone was quoted as saying: “We’ve signed a 16-year-old from Belgium who I have monitored for the last 12 months or so,” Magrone said.

“We’ve just completed the deal. He’s got lots of ability. He will potentially play for our first team in a few years’ time.”
