No chance, bigger clubs are in for him and he has a release clause of 36 million

They will never sell for anything less than that and we will never pay that much
What bigger clubs? Inigo Martinez is the hot talent at the moment and none of the big two will go for him and its just monaco, PSG or the english clubs left for him to go to?

As for them selling, yes this is true in the past not selling players unless they are bids near the release clause but the club might have to sell soon as they may have a big debt coming their way within the next year!

Very quick Google shows up both rumours of Barcelona interest in Laporte as well as him saying he's happy in Bilbao and doesn't want to go at the moment.

Barcelona aren't after him despite being linked imo, they want a CB now! Luiz, Silva and etc will still be on the list/priority

With Mourinho at Chelsea I doubt they'll be making any headway with Luiz, and after PSG's little threat about activating Messi's release clause I don't expect they'll be calling Paris again.

TBH I'd be more worried about our Belgian shuperhero, if he weren't injured.

I don't think they will go for Vertonghen tbh but Luiz isn't being selected by Mourinho as a CB week in week out and they seem to be after a superstar not a good defender

Inigo is just an above average defender, Laporte is the much bigger prospect.

Disagree there, the last couple of seasons have seen Inigo turning into a really excellent CB, quite a nice balance of strength and style with a good desire and concentration. For me he's up there amongst the best CB's in Spain at this time

Did anybody see inigo's absolute clown of a performance against barca last week? he's not good enough to take a step up from sociedad right now and if he came to us I don't expect him to start ahead of kaboul/vertonghen.

No but I've seen lots of really excellent performances from him over the last couple of seasons. Did you see Kaboul's performance against Man City? All players have a poor game occasionally what's more important is the consistency with which they have a good games

Hold on you are not talking about last weeks first leg when he got sent of for complaining about a pretty strong penalty call getting ignored by the ref moments before they scored. Might have been silly but it was hardly a clownish performance and it wasn't unreasonable that Sociedad felt they had been robbed of a good call
