Hi all,

I have a quick question, hope this is the right place for it... Has anyone ever had to deal with needing to bring/leave a bag when heading to the stadium? I'm a season ticket holder, so understand the rules on what is allowed etc but next week I will be in Leicester for work for a couple of days, and arriving in London at about 11am Saturday, and because I live in Andover i.e. not close enough to get back to drop my stuff off then head to the stadium, I'm not sure where to go with this apart from missing the match.

Does anyone have any suggestions/experience with this?

Simply wear all of your clothes like Joey did with Chandler's clothes in Friends.

Or, put your luggage in a train station luggage drop off or the one by the stadium

Make sure you get there in good time as sometimes there can be queues. I saw someone simply leave his rucksack on the pavement just before kickoff last Sunday.

Be prepared for ongoing queues after the match!
Naturally give yourself plenty of time before and after. If you're there up to an hour before KO you should be fine. And if you hang around after the final whistle until the majority of the crowds have filed out, it shouldn't be too long a queue.

Unless your bag is tiny (A4 pad size) then they won’t allow you in with it. You’ll have to use the bag drop which costs £10.

Just throw it onto a nearby roof, then knock on their door and ask for your bag back post game

Hi all, don't want to start another thread on this, but just trying to figure out where the line is.

Im going to a meeting in Coventry tomorrow afternoon, get into Euston at 6, so not much I can do! Im trying to avoid taking a laptop, just a notepad. Regardless does anyone know if a laptop (or notepad) inside a Tote Bag would be ok? My wife is coming separately from work and is using the clear bag that they gave us a few years ago!

Given its a late Thursday night kick off, I don't want to mess around with queues, after so any experiences appreciated.

Last time I took a bag (pre COVID) it had to be using the clear bag you mention, I came from work and had a laptop and a few bits in a small rucksack although I did have the clear bag. They wouldn't allow me in using the rucksack and sent me to the bag drop. Got there saw the queue (and having to get it after the game) and that they wanted £10 for the privilege, thought 'fuck that' took everything out of the rucksack put it in the clear bag and then rolled up the rucksack and shoved that in too... It was bulging but within the criteria and they didn't say anything.

Bag policy here, probably in your case you need to buy the £1 bag from the Tottenham experience and shove your stuff inside. Good luck

Aside from when i started this thread to ask about a rucksack, on normal match days I have a leather satchel type bag which is a bit bigger than A4, that they've never had an issue with. How big is your tote?

Shame you aren't going in with your wife, you could have just made her put a load on tampons in it, and if its a guy doing the bag search I'm sure he'd just let you through if you said that's what is in it and was your only bag ?

Thanks both! I have a leather satchel type bag as well but cant be arsed with the risk of them saying no.

I could go in with my wife but that would mean sacrificing pre match with some mates and waiting outside the ground for her until 7, sod that. I'll take as little as I can and shove the rest down my pants and take my chances! #coys

To all those with bag questions, it's really quite simple. Read the Spurs Bag Policy. ? There is also a bag drop at the ground for £10 I think, if you're worried about losing the waitrose shopping, or your grandma's satchel you decided to bring to a football match!

There is nowhere on the spurs site that mentions the bag drop, which is why I started this thread to begin with. No need to laugh at people for asking questions in a place that’s sometimes easier to get an answer. And in regards to the satchel, you try being a woman in a world where barely any clothes have working pockets ?
