Even if we could raise the transfer money we couldn't pay him the wages. He'd get £200k+ a week at Chelsea, United or City. No way he'll come back to us. It will be sickening if he appears in a Chelsea shirt.

He's apparently on £300k a week at Real now...

Trouble is there are only half a dozen clubs who could afford him, unfortunately 50% of them are English......

If he knows what's good for him he won't go to Chelsea, City or United. But then, most footballers don't know what's good for them.

Id rather pay Bale 200k + a week and let Adebayor and the other high earners go, let them see what a player of that calibre looks like every week.

Well, I can dream.

Why are people panicking over things in the Metro and Daily Star?

This. I know it'll never happen but seriously, fuck half the team off and put Bale in with the kids and throw money at him. If he's playing anywhere it should be Real or Spurs.

Pretty sure he was conning everybody when he was a kid and had a Real Madrid kit and always dreamed of playing for them, I bet it has all been a plan to get away from Tottenham so that he could realise his true dream of playing for Chelsea. NOT!

Always felt that if Bale came back to England to join a big club it'd be United, what with the whole Giggs link and the fact that they fawned over him for years.

Doubt he'll end up at Chelsea, but football transfer are proper odd these days. I remember the time when I used to play video games and I'd see a player like Fabregas end up at a club like Chelsea and immediately turn off the game in disgust and disbelief.

Jonathan Barnett talking Bale:

Barnett, when asked if Bale was the most expensive transfer all of time: "It was one, if the not the most, expensive transfer of all time."

Barnett: "He could have joined Manchester United but he wanted to join Madrid." Did United offer more? "Not a lot more, but yes."

Barnett: "Barcelona were interested at one point but he told me he didn't want to go there. Two agents (from Barça) did call me."

The most difficult part of the transfer? "That Tottenham didn't want to sell throughout, that's why they asked for a ridiculous amount."

Do you get a monthly payment from your clients? "No, we only earn commission if the player changes clubs." "Some agents move their players too early or as much as possible to earn money. We don't. We only help players that want to move."

Did Bale have to move? "When Bale signed for Real Madrid a lot of people, that didn't know him, said he was too young. With the difficulty of not having had a preseason (in his first season) and that he struggled with injuries, many thought they were right. Did he have a problem with his back? "That was invented by a newspaper. 100% (not true)."

Its a tricky one this, i doubt that he will be leaving RM any time soon as i doubt anyone would pay his price tag. It is true however there is not much love for him from the fans at present and most think Isco should be playing instead of him. Bale's performance against Rayo was poor, yes he scored but it was a tap in and apart from that he was really off his game, misscontrolling and loosing the ball several times and overhitting his passes. I also noticed when Rayo had the ball he really just walked around looking unfused. Yes he looks like he is laking match fitness and it was raining quite heavily but i do think that if he doesn't up his game over the coming weeks he will be benched. The real questions will be raised when Jese returns to fitness as he is a big fan favourite and was looking very good before his injury. As i mentioned, i doubt Bale will be going anywhere this winter or next summer but beyond that questions could be asked if he hasn't really pushed on. After all, RM are the most ridiculously fickle club in the world.

Bale won't leave Real.
He will..but not just yet.

Whoever pay say £150m ish will get him in heartbeat. Real will be listening and maybe thinking £130m ish + Hazard :sneaky:

Everybody has a price.....remember

I find it really hard to believe this guy, or any agent, doesn't take a small % of the players' wages. Then again, hes an agent, so hes probably just lying
I think he is probably more concerned about what any future clients will think of him rather then the general public. I'm sure he will say anything to make himself look good in their eyes.

Absolutely. Agents will do and say anything to get a player to sign a representation contract.

Bale had another poor game against Eibar, i really wouldn't be that surprised to see him dropped when everyone is fit. When that happens i'm sure the press will have a field day linking him to every top club around the world. I just hope he can up his performances but i must say, i am really surprised about how little effort he seems to put into match's these days, he never seems to track his man and often just lightly jogs around waiting for a pass. looks very different to Bale of last season.

What do you think the problem is?
