i really don't like Real but I wanted Bale to get the winner today - happy to see he scored his penalty and played a key role once again in securing his second CL title

Such an amazing player he deserves all his success and I am happy for him

Was absolutely immense tonight, at the centre of everything for Real and put in a massive defensive shift, then to score a pen after being down with cramp for 10 minutes, outstanding.

Random

But a friend met bale today

Guy went out of his way to sign take photos and make each kids day.

Him and Aaron Ramsey.

Was asked who's the fastest footballer in bale responded me in jest

Ramsey also told one of the youngsters he thinks Kyle walker is.

But mate couldn't sing either players praises enough said they were brilliant with both parents and more!.

Even signed every kids panini sticker

Depressing.

We were lucky to have him really :( The Wales Euro qualifying was about as close as you can get in football to one man doing it on his own.

The guy has won the Champions league twice now so can't really blame him for moving, especially considering the money he is meant to be on but by god I would love to see him in this Spurs team.

Imagine what he could do if the team wasnt set up to feed Ronaldo. They arent even getting the most out of him because of it.

That Bale doc was the worst thing I've had the misfortune to watch in years. It was like those crappy educational programmes teachers used to sit you down in front of in the 80s when they couldn't be bothered to teach. Presumably funded by the national assembly and only ever intended for a museum in some patriotic backwater?!

I rarely see Bale play anymore, but good to see that he's doing well for himself. Read that he's scoring the most headers in La Liga, and he was getting his head at so many set pieces in the CL final. Clearly something he's been working on since he was with us.

Wish him all the best. Just so sad that he's looking like one of those guys that work part time as a barista and show up to partys with a guitar to play Wonderwall and U2 songs.

Looks like tonight may be the night he is no longer the world's most expensive player. Might be less of a burden on him.

Is he past his best?

The injuries are coming at a Kompany'esque rate these days.

A bit premature to say he's past his best, when just a season ago he was one of the best players at the Euros and having a fantastic season. Agree though the injuries seem to be increasing.

If he wants to carry on for the next 5-6 seasons I'd say he has to adapt his game. Feels a bit like Michael Owen's career at the moment which went down hill when he had a few injuries.
