Lescott is a very lucky man.
I hope the charge leads to the proper result.
I wonder if the Lescott thing means Webb says he saw it.

This cost us at least a point
It is a disgrace.
Let's hope this really does affect them and they drop points

The FA only ever seem to be able to do the paperwork on one player at a time.

MCFC lose a player, their opponents get an advantage, but Spurs get no recompense for a blatent act of violence! Justice? I think not!

Why can't MCFC been deducted a point or Spurs awarded a point? that would be more equitable.

Although Baloteeli's was the more serious I can't see any possible defence for the Lescott one. He can't argue he lost balance etc he just raised his arm and smashed Kaboul in the face.

Totally agree and what's more is that if Webb had seen it he wouldn't have sent him off which is quite baffling.

I can excuse them missing the Lescott incident but after seeing replays, there should be no other outcome but a retrospective ban.

How can Suarez get 8 matches for using a bad word and baloteli 4 matches for GBH ? I am against racism but Parker could not see straight so it was a bloody hard stamp not a kick far worse if his studs had caught Parker on the temple or in the eye his caree could have been over.

Don't get me started on lescott.

The retrospective ban has always been a bit like bolting the gate after the horse has scarpered.

So now Balotelli misses a Cup semi final and three league games where he cannot be a threat to those teams (ironically none of the three are a direct threat to Spurs).

Additionally, the result stands, and in Balotelli's case there is a direct link to the final result and him staying on the park.

The rules have to change in some way, and the only way I can think of is if there is immediate video evidence of an indiscretion, which in turn results in a sin bin time out in-game.

This solution would impact on the game as in the match in question, video evidence would also have dealt Lescott a time-out which would have retrospectively been a small price to pay since no free kick in a dangerous position could have retrospectively been given to Spurs.

Apparently nothing doing on the Lescott one as Webb would have given a yellow, not a red had he seen it. Now I know the guy tried to issue three yellows before, but surely if a player's been booked and he says he'd give another yellow the player should be banned for a game.

That said, he's wrong anyway. Should have been a straight red.
