Asenjo* is only young and needs to be left alone tbh. Ustari was also a very promising goalkeeper who has had his career ruined by making the wrong career move to Getafe. This summer is important for Asenjo in that with Barça, Atletico and Man Utd all after him he needs to try and avoid the big bucks and get more playing time so he develops. With that in mind it is probably best he either stays put or makes a less high profile move. Barça have Valdes, Atleti have Coupet and Leo Franco and Man Utd have Van der Sar. He'd get little play time at any of those and he needs to be out on the pitch week in week out currently.

Spoke to someone well connected in Catalunya today and he said Spurs have been sniffing around Negredo from Almeira. Apparently Madrid have a buy back option but if they dont take it the bloke has about 8 clubs after him.
Valdes apprently(not from Txiki Begiristain or the future president, they wont talk about these things) has asked for the same salary as Xavi and Iniesta which is something like 150,000 euros a week. Barca wont pay that and he may not get a new deal if him and his agent insist on this.
