Sorry, old bean, but somehow I can't see Barca having to scrape a 3-3 draw against Anorthosis. Can you?
That was a strange game: Burdisso scored two of 3 goals of anorthosis and Inter scored a fourth goal by cambiasso that the referee didn't see!

So at the half way point Barca won 5-0 to set the highest points total in La liga history at this point of the season. They really are formiddable at the moment, and i cant see them losing another game this season. They lost the first game of the season, but haven't lost since. Deportivo stood no chance whatsoever on Saturday night. Pep Guadliola has done wonders.

I think everybody's too busy discussing Spurs' shortcomings.

Looks like revenge for the season opener! (Remember little Numancia are the only side to have beaten Barca this season.)

I only caught the last 10 mins or so but Barca won 4-1 and were ripping through them at will at that point.

Barca were great again last night. Eto'o could have had a hat trick, as could Messi (came close when he hit the bar,) but they got 1 and 2 goals respectively. Henry got the other. Those 3 are scoring at will. What a team, and what a change from watching Spurs play slow motion football. If only we could show anything like the positive attacking football Barca are playing, along with the work rate aswell.

I dont see why we cannot play like that. We certainly have players of ability. It just shows what believe and confidence can bring to a team

BUT- if the officials had done their job properly Barca would have been one nil down and it would have been interesting then.

Ive always loved Barcelona - the history and the tradition of great football reminds me of Spurs.

The only difference is they can actually pull it off.

I hope they win the CL this year. Im sick of English teams winning it. It was good for a while but I like balance. And Messi is better than Ronaldo which I will be forever thankfull for because if that bitchslap was the best player in the world I would not be happy

Centre backs are Pique, Marquez, Puyol, Milito, Abidal: I would personally say that none of them come close to being the best centre backs in the world. Puyol isn't a very good defender, and Milito, whilst being solid, is nowhere near, but Pique does have the potential.

A fit Ledley King is better than them, as is Rio Ferdinand (now), I would also rate Widic and Woodgate as better, they concede so few goals because of Guardiola's system and the midfield do the job they're supposed to; something spurs could take note of perhaps.

Steady on son, it's only January.... People were saying 2 years ago, season 06-07, that Barca were gonna win the lot. At one point in March I think, I could be wrong though, I'm sure they were 9 points ahead of Madrid going into the Barca-Madrid game. That game ended 3-3 with Messi getting a last minute equaliser, and hatrick, and Madrid went on a fantastic run to win the title on the last day when Barca failed to beat Espanyol.

Barca are for sure the favs for La Liga and the Spanish Cup but I'm not so sure they will win the CL with that defence.

The problem i think Barca will have against Man Yoo is that Dani Alves may get caught out at Old Trafford. He loves bombing forwards thus leaving a giant space behind him, and Utd love a counter attack. It will be a great couple of games against Utd for sure and a chance for Messi to show he is the best in the world atm.
