Think Wolfsburg will start off slowly because of the massive number of changes. Might take them time to gel. I predict 3-1 Bayern

And this year is all about St. Pauli, who kick off their return with an away trip to Freiburg. It will be weird watching them on a regular screen rather than the illegal feeds I've become accustomed to.

Just realized something...why the hell haven't Bayern bought a center back (or two) and a keeper this summer?

Van Buyten and DeMichelis are only okay at their best, and they don't have much cover beyond them.

Interesting how average Dzeko looks without Misimovic. Just goes to prove that even the best forward needs service.

Misimovic is on the bench and has been up already warming up

McLaren is playing a 4-3-3 with a team built for 4-4-2. He's lucky to be as close as he is at half

Mullers first touch for his goal is probably one of the best first touches I've seen by a player with his weaker foot. Pure perfection.

Really showing that your question is important in this second half.

Dzeko

Watching this game and seeing Dzeko-Mandzukic and Mueller-Klose makes me realize just how shit our forward line is.

just watched the last 60 mins of the game on ESPN360 (strangely the first 30 mins was missing) and was thinking the exact same thing (and getting depressed).

Would rather see us drop £30M on Dzeko than £15M on Fabiano, at least we can recoup whatever we pay and give him his dream move to Italy in a few years, the money for Fabiano would be just go straight out the window (and I have a feeling he could get a touch of the lazies on his final big contract). I think Dzeko is a lot more of what need - someone who can finish, has vision (both to make the right runs and set others up) and is a physical presence up front. He would dominate the premier league with our midfield and could pair up with any of our other strikers (or preferably, Huntelaar!).
