Wonder why don't Wigan have a maximum matchday ticket price? Is everything a flat-rate 20 quid there?

None of these stats comes as a surprise and it's players' wages and TV deals that make watching football as expensive as it is.

long past the time for capping wages and transfer fees. I know I'm repeating what I've said before but it really needs to happen if football is not to become a day out only for the well-off. The days of the cloth cap working man going to his 3 o'clock Saturday football match have passed, sadly.

I gave up my season ticket this season because £1000 is just too much unfortunately, and I suspect that plenty of people have had to do the same at various clubs in the last few years.

The problem is that whilst the tickets are still selling, the prices will continue to go up and there's not really a lot of incentive for clubs to do anything else.

Thought the food was a load of shite when I went this season, my dad wanted a hot dog...walked all the way down to find one inside that sold them "sorry sold out atm!"....

Ended up with a crappy sausage roll, such a terrible choice inside.

Looking down at Championship, Ipswich and Leads most expensive, christ that's a bit hefty for teams who haven't been in top flight for years. They're more expensive than Villa and Everton! Heck even City:cautious:

Can't afford to go any more, even the odd game will cost me a oner or more, a quarter of my weekly take home :( , it's a complete joke and has been for years. One day, football WILL eat itself!!

Spare a thought for us poor souls from across the from Northern Ireland, or indeed elsewhere.

A match for me involves flights, travel, accommodation (although you can do it all in one day but its a hell of a day then), easily a couple of hundred. Book it all as far in advance as you can to lower the prices, but then you run the risk of the match getting shifted for TV

£3.70 a pie is scandalous, the pies at Wigan are twice as good too.

I'm fed up with THFC mugging me off, the membership, the shirts, near £40 to go and see us lose to Blackburn. Had enough, so I go to away games that are more reasonably priced..

Haven't been to the Lane since the 3-3 vs Arsenal, mainly due to being at uni and the cost associated with getting back. But the prices are a joke, I've got some tickets for the Maribor game, 2 adults and a junior ticket = £45. I had to pay £10.50 booking fee, wtf is that about

Lots of people here complaining about the prices - and rightly so!!

But presumably there are plenty of people (the majority?) who are still willing to fork out the dosh

It would be interesting to hear their view on the prices, and how they justify it

We have the most expensive season ticket at £1,845 for 21 games. Arsenal have 26 games for £1,955.

Luton Town in the Blue Square have more expensive season tickets at £515 than the cheapest at Villa, Everton, Fulham, Man City, Newcastle, Norwich, QPR, Reading, Southampton, Stoke, Sunderland, Swansea, West Brom, West Ham and Wigan!!!
