Where did we train before Spurs lodge? I remember it opening in September 1996. Where did we train before it opened and has anyone got pictures?

has Blair just pooped?

Not sure if directly before Spurs Lodge but one of the incarnations of Spurs' training grounds was next to Brookfield Farm shopping centre - maybe even before the shops were built. I believe it's a housing estate now! Not been in that area for a while. The Glory Game talks about players running along the road into Waltham Cross.

we had a training ground in Cheshunt for many years. Also remember a temporary home in Mill Hill that was around the time of Gascoigne.

This is probably wrong, but when i attended Northumberland Park they told us once that the astro pitch was donated by spurs as it was their old training ground. I don't know if it was used in the winter only or never actually stepped foot on it at all but the teacher pointed the concrete plac on the wall.

Mill Hill was lol

I would be on the grass fingering my girlfriend at the time and then I would see Sol Campbell kicking a ball.

A **** premonition imo

After Cheshunt we trained at playing fields at Pursley Lane Mill Hill (near to a what is now Powerleague centre and also what is now Saracen's new ground at Copthall). I think we were there for about 5 or 6 years and as someone says, it was certainly when Gazza was with us. I remember seeing a few times running round that area on long distance runs on the pavements after his knee op.

You could see all the training from the road and I watched him the day before the 91 semi final. The trainer was trying to get him to do basic jumps after the groin op that he had just had and he was really struggling to get off the ground. I rember saying to somone that there was no chance of him playing at Wembley the next day - how wrong could I be!

You could also walk in during those times to watch any junior or reserve games. Judas was in the under 18's at that time and looked a real star in the making (which he was!).

Gazza stole my bike when they were at Mill Hill. cheeky bastard. :)

it was great when they were training there. only ten minutes on my bike from the training ground.

20 minutes on foot home after he stole my bike. (jokes)

Mill Hill before Spurs Lodge. Players would often be found in TGI's just up the road after training
I remember bumping into Walker, Anderton and Iversson in their on New years eve one year. all looking worse for wear and scouting for totty.

Edit. Actually that was the everglades. not TGI.
