I have said plenty of positive things about him
I lauded him for his brilliant hat trick in the Europa League and I said how well he took his goal against Cardiff, so basically ive given him praise whenever there has been the opportunity
I genuinely don't remember Ade's miss but im sure I would have slated him although he is in a different class to Soldado anyway so the odd miss here and there is acceptable, Soldado misses these types of chances pretty much every time he plays
Anyway, im not getting into one of these debates again, like I said, there is no excuse for that miss from Soldado, trying to shift the focus onto me or my opinions isn't going to change that me ol' mucker
Yeah, unfortunately for you this forum has a search function. You've been slagging Soldado off since the end of August. The most complimentary things I could find that you've said about him were;
Thats what makes me laugh, people are always looking to have a pot shot at Defoe for whatever reason but when the shoe is on the other foot and its Soldado they move the goal posts
Well played Bobby last night, I was happy with his performance but why people are shooting their load over it yet they bemoaned the quality of opposition when Defoe had done well against these teams is extremely weird and it pretty much says it all about people on here
Double standards city
But it only took a few days before you were back with
I seriously could not stand Pav but id actually rather have him than Soldado, seriously
Or, damning with faint praise...
I thought Soldado was fantastic tonight......
Or does it not count (like Defoe's goals) because it was against a pub team????
Nothing about Adebayor's miss, though. So I'm sure you didn't bother to slag him off, like you would have done to fit your Soldado agenda. Here it is, 00:58 in. http://www.itv.com/sport/football/a...ague-report-and-highlights-spurs-1-3-benfica/
The thing is, the chance he had tonight is the sort you'd back an in form, confident striker to score, or at least hit the target. But because Sherwood benched him every game since he scored against Cardiff (which was a very well taken goal - funny, I couldn't find your apparent praise for that) and has only given him 23 minutes since then, he hasn't had the opportunity to get any kind of form or confidence. Hence why I'm prepared to give him a bit of leeway on it. So I'm sure you'll understand why I say that had I not seen tonight's game and only read your post, I'd be none the wiser about the actual chance because you'd slag him off regardless.
