So pleased, he gives us a much better overall balance when attacking - still rusty from a long lay off, but great to have him back.

Definitely should start against Leeds, and hopefully then AVB will be picking him from here on in.

Hope he's comes in a lb and naughton to rb for a while. Walker needs a bit of a rest and time for reflection to help him long term. I can see walker turning things around eventually, just not having a good season, perhaps some time on the bench will sort him out. He has played almost non stop since his return from villa. Naughton also deserves a chance in his favoured position.

He was also the only player to take the time to go right over to the Park Lane and thank them. Threw his shirt in and started bowing at them!

As others have said he was a bit rusty but he will make us stronger when fit, great to see him come over and have the crack with the supporters.

I really like the way avb handles the players and squad. No more of this straight back in as soon as you can walk, Avb rightly waits for players to get properly fit and also gives confidence to the players already playing in that they don't feel disgruntled at being dropped straight away.

Bae is clearly rusty but we will be so much stronger once he is back to his best.

Yeah, I saw that, he was a little bit too far to my right to get a chance!! Top boy tho!

If it had been Naughton crossing, it would have been an inswinger and wouldn't have reached Lennon. We need a genuine LB who could use his left peg.

Give him a run out agaisnt leeds to get more up to speed!

To me he offers Bale more help on the left and we will have more of an attacking option.

I agree about Naughton getting a run at RB, but I don't think a rest is going to fix Walker. I feel he doesn't really understand his role as a LB (largely due to inexperience) and therefore has trouble fitting into it. I would like to see him play a few training games and friendlies as CB and LM so he can get a better idea of how a LB is supposed to interact with the rest of the team.

great to have him back, we need him. Rusty - maybe but only playing will get rid of that

Agreed, was great to see him back and that left peg made all the difference, will be great when he blows away the cobwebs, like having a new signing to be honest.
