Bentley and Villa.........Not sure how true but.........

So these two have been linked with us in the paper today.

Not sure how much truth there is in it but i would love to see both of these at the Lane next season although if Villa comes i would imagine that Berba would go.

Bentley to replace/cover Lennon. Sounds good to me!

I dont feel Ramos has a lot of confidence in Bent so if we do get another striker in I could see Bent leaving.

Keane, Berbatov and Villa would do nicely.

is 12million too much for Bentley? To be fair its prob the going rate. I cant see Villa coming either if i am honest. He could take his pick of clubs around Europe!

We already have Aaron Lennon. We should be focusing on buying players in positions we lack quality. This being the goalkeeper position, in central midfield and maybe a left winger. Ramos will do this.

two names who would, without doubt, improve our current squad. Been an admirer of Bentley's for a while now and Villa goes without saying. Just can't see either of them being easy or cheap.

Exactly we have Lennon so Bentley would be a great addition!! not going over old ground about Lennon. Bentley imo is better

we dont need another RM, or if we did buy bentley we have to move lennon to the left and teach him that the thing dangiling from his left leg can be used to strike a football. Personally id rather have that 12m spent on back up. ie CB, LB and ST (at 4m each)

Guillem Balague who knows Villa and Spanish football better than most has suggested more than once that Villa is a player who could sign for Spurs.

David Bentley is an interesting one, I think that he is a very very good player however he is used as the attacking catalyst at Rovers and is often given a free role. He wouldn't be afforded this luxury at Spurs so it's arguable whether he would be as effective for us. So if he come to Spurs he would most likely be used on the right side of midfield and if there is 1 thing that Bentley lacks it is pace and we all know that historically Ramos likes his wide players to be blessed with pace.

Bentley supprisingly is a Spurs fan, and a great winger so I would love him at this club......but were do we put lennon...On the Left!?

As much as i love lennon, Bentley is a better all-round player, his treat from free-kicks and corners is brilliant and he consistantly puts class deleviries into the box time and again. Not as much pace as lennon but makes up for it in technique and skill, probably in the prem only him and ronaldo are better wingers than lennon.

Villa again is class, different to berbatov, IMO not actually quite as good but either bentley or villa would be unbelievealbe signings, don't believe for a minute we'll get either but we can always dream
