If we can't afford Adebayor as much as I really did hate him (the pain has eased) I'd have him back in a heartbeat.

What's everyone's opinon?

Cheeky £15 mill bid in Jan

Not for me. Attack would be too slow with him and VDV. We need pace and power.

Not for £15m, I would take him for free at the end of the season if he is available and he can come in as 2nd/3rd choice experienced striker, which shows how far the club has come in the last 2 or 3 years.

I'd have loved him back a year or two ago, but he's not what we need right now. Having said that, if we can't get Adebayor or another similar striker, I'd prefer Berbatov to Defoe or Pav.

I think anyone using the term, "cheeky bid" or "sneaky bid" needs to be slapped a few times.

But if Berbatov was willing to come in, give 100% for the club, I'd take him in a shot. People were quick to balk at the prospect at signing Gallas and Adebayor for emotional, non-footballing reasons and those people quickly shut up once the top class performances started rolling in.

I'd expect the same to happen with Berba, although he'd need to prove his worth a lot more due to his past history with the club.

Yes everyday of the week... He'd fit into our current style of play so well. As a replacement for pav would be a stunning piece of business.

Berba is better than Ade at holding the ball up, scores just as many goals and can produce a moment of brilliance out of nothing.

YES FUCKING PLEASE

Yes, but only for 5m tops. His contract expires at the end of the season, he's on a high wage, and will have no sell on value.

Very split so far then.

He isn't actually that slow and his game suits the 4-1-1 we currently tend to start with.

doesnt Utd have an option to extend the contract? Sumre i read that recently.

I would take him and Adebayor if possible. Anyone who thinks we are suddenly to good for a player who was worth over 30m a few seasons ago is deluded.

... and just how far he hasn't.

Aside from whether us fans would want him back or not (and I'm in the 'not' camp), can anyone say they genuinely believe HE himself would want to return.
