There's a paradox there though - he often puts personal achievements ahead of team ones. There are examples where he's almost demanded to play when he's not fit, which has rarely (if ever) been in the best interests of the team.

Sometimes the two are on opposite paths.

So true. He supposedly wants to leave to win trophies, but he also wants to stay in the premier league so he can break Shearer’s record. He can’t have his cake and eat it too, we either sell him abroad for him to win trophies, like he says he wants, or he stays with us to better his personal achievements which he also wants.

He's not because he's the one that irks Levy the most. He'll never let what happened with Berbatov happen with any one else.

Maybe Levy should have tried to back managers instead of making a "super club" on income and commercial interests alone. Players over time have left us because the club has no intent to win things, either players like Carrick, Modric, Berbatov, Bale and now Kane are wrong (even though they go on to be successful) or Levy is wrong. Levy's problem is, he doesn't understand the game and after years of defending him I can see it plain as day.

Even now when Kane gave us years of eliteness, above and beyond any of the aforementioned hes coping the most flack., its genuinely bewildering.

Didn't Woodgate clatter Berbatov in training because of his attitude? "Just fuck off then" or something along those lines.

Did he get injured while trying to injure him? Most likely.

We literally won something with Berbatov.

The fact that we were so close to success so many times over the last few years but didn't get there is ALSO ON HIM.
Is literally anyone on here arguing it isn't?

And yes, he has been a leader by example.

Loved Berba as a player for us, but it gets my tits that he gets invited back as a legend after forcing a move in that way. Would rather see the tea lady invited on the pitch as the legend
Depends on how good her cups of tea are and if she puts the milk in first or last.

No one is arguing per say. But the "Kane deserves titles" tune suggests that he never got a shot with us. He did and barring the FA Cup (2 semi-finals excluded, I'll only talk finals), he got a chance to win everything - 2 title fights, 2 league cups and the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE. This means that he could and should have won things with us. It completely throws the "he won't win stuff at Spurs" argument out of the window. But here's the thing - that final step over the line isn't handed on a silver platter. And he was definitely part of the problem for not getting there (especially the CL and last league cup when he was played semi-fit).
That's all I'm saying.

Fancy a drink sometime if that's you in your profie ? ??
Aww, my wife will be chuffed to bits for that.
But follow the nick, rather than the avatar - it's Sebo.
:ROFLMAO: ;)

BTW I don't consider this post a disagree at all. It basically covers 99% of I think too.
Too bad about that drink, though - it would never work out between us.

Gotta love how supportive and loyal our ex-players are to the club - Sheringham can’t keep his trap shut and now Berbatov is at it.
I agree. Loyalty amongst soccer players is non existent, especially this lot. The days of the Mabbutts, Kings and the like, are well and truly gone.

I understand the sentiment, but loyalty is a two way street. There are plenty of managers, players, coaches, physios, scouts who will tell you that their loyalty has not been rewarded. Football is a business. It has been ever thus.

You mean as supportive as some fans are to ex players i.e Kane leaving and now it's his fault that we haven't won anything according to many on here. Support is a two way thing.
