Berbs upfront would've been the difference between 3 and 5th.

You can't prove that, however talented he is....he may have thrown a strop or two, fell out with VDV,gallas or even jordan:eek:mg:, there is no guarentee him being with us would have meant 3rd.

Exactly - some folk seem to think it is a simple matter of grafting a top form and best behaviour BerbaGit into our first team, and incapable of calculating that there are other possible scenarios to take into account.

I think its fair to say (whilst unprovable) theres a very good chance and striker who has the intelligence of movement and ability to finish clinically would have been the difference between us finishing in the top four or not last season based purely on the amount of goals we missed in key games against teams we dominated...and yes Berbatov in one such striker who I would have backed to score against Man City at home, or West Ham at home or to not have hit the post when 3-2 up against Wolves away when presented with a one on one from 5 yards.

I'm incline to agree that had we had Berbatov in our side last season we may well have breached the top four again because frankly our strike force let us down badly.

He is certainly of the quality we need and I think we should consider resigning him if he is available to us.

I think Harry would be able to work with his attitude issues and I personally think he would work well with VDV, although I do respect the fact that his behaviour in forcing a move and then in forcing us to sell for less to the club he demanded to go to make me wish we could sign someone else of equal or greater quality first.

However, if you offer me the option of signing Berbatov or sticking with the strikers we have right now then I would pick Berbatov all day every day as he is still a quality performer and would still offer us the striking upgrade we desperately need.

Pringle and SP just have a real deep-seeded hatred for the guy they can't get over it would seem.

I think thats a good way to put it, and I totally agree.

You can easily say King being fit and playing is the difference between 2-5th.

I don't think even King would've helped us to 2nd but maybe to 4th or 3rd yes.

You can't prove that, however talented he is....he may have thrown a strop or two, fell out with VDV,gallas or even jordan:eek:mg:, there is no guarentee him being with us would have meant 3rd.

You're right, no guarentee, but considering his goal tally and our lack of I say that with just his and Pav's goals we'd not have drawn so many or lost to Wolves etc...

That is what I was trying to say, he is hands down better than all our current strikers

Pretty much sums up my view on the matter

I'd jizz over Modric and Berbatov in the same team. Sadly i think it might be for united, in which case id just get a reluctant semi.
