Worst best player - lots mentioned already but also Lamela. Genuinely believe in a parallel existence he could have been a world beater.

Sofiane Boufal, Ravel Morisson, Bentaleb, Robinho, Balotelli, plenty of players with great talent but shit attitude.

A great crap player was Michael Brown. The ying to Carrick's yang, he knew his limitations but by god he put himself about.

Crap great player was Rebrov. Hell of a coup bringing one half of the best strike partnership in Europe to the Lane, especially when the other went to AC MIlan. But tbh was simply far too good for the squad we had at the time, struggled to make an imprint, and then got marginalised by Hoddle. Massive waste.

Best crap players, there have been loads. Just people who gave it their all every week: Howells, Staltieri, Lee, Dawson, Palacios, etc, etc.

Stephane Dalmat. I remember one game for us he was really sublime and you thought we had a super talent with us.

The rest of the time he was with us, he was poor.

Crap attitude

Mido too. As a centre forward he had the lot but was too lazy to put it in every game . He was incredible on his debut then coasted the rest of the time.
I was trying to remember Dalmat's name! What skills and goals he scored in a couple of moments!

Mido also a good call

I'd say Michael Dawson would stand a chance of being our best crap player. Loved by all (me included) and an ever present for alot of his time but never really that good.

Good shout
If his infectious spirit was taken by all we would have won the lot in his time with us

Was so excited about Rebrov and really wanted him to become good, but nothing we saw from him at Spurs suggested he was good, and nothing we saw afterwards did either. I think Shevchenko did a lot of the heavy lifting in that partnership

Lots on here to agree with.

But I always thought Pedro Mendes was a bad good player. Had a lot of ability but just didn't ever make it happen.

Rebrov the main one. We absolutely fucked his career up. Class footballer in a team of hoofers and donkys. So was brilliant but crap at the same time.

Mido is definitely a good shout, I actually always really liked him. He couldn’t control his weight, and his fitness was up and down like a yo-yo but he had plenty of times he made a good impact and scored some important goals. Always linked up with Keane well too.

He was basically that guy you always had on your Sunday league team, overweight, smokes twenty a day, can’t find a kit that fits and always forgets his socks, but occasionally he pops it through someone’s legs and pings it in the top corner, making you wonder what he could have been with a bit more jogging.
