Dawson is 100% a great/crap player. Lovely bloke with a heart of a lion that allowed him to achieve far more than anyone with his technical ability usually would. His diagnal long balls out for a throw in were a thing of nightmares but there is no one I'd rather be on the frontline when we were up against it.

Bit controversial, but best worst player...Niko Kranjčar.

Very skillful player, but if I remember correctly Harry used to play him out wide, where Niko was hampered by his lack of pace.

I think if he had have been a main-stay at number 10 with a 'free-role' he'd have been remembered as one of the best players during that period. But instead, we got a technically gifted 'winger' who couldn't beat his man because he had all the speed of a Soviet-era Skoda. Of course it didn't help that VDV was playing number 10 for at least one of those season in this era.

Worst best players...we've had a few of those. Sean Davies, Michael Brown, Pedro Mendes, Sissoko, possibly even Wilson Palacios were all fairly limited players, but definitely brought something to the table, namely workrate and steel. I think someone like Kevin Wimmer might be in there as well, because he had a run in the team during the 15/16 season and was pretty decent. His form then dropped and he left for Stoke and faded into obscurity because of a lack of natural talent.

I loved Niko and wanted him to get more chanses than he got. Had a touch on the ball and vision few has matched since. Maybe i forget someone now but in my view only Eriksen is above him in that aspect.

What about Andy Reid for best crap player, fantastic feet but unfortunately they were attached to an Easter egg body
As for worst best maybe Iversen was supposedly coveted by the best clubs in Europe so it seemed a real coup at the time.

Dawson wasn’t that good. Come on. Lovely guy, great heart , but absolutely shat himself when anyone with a lick of pace ran at him and had a penchant for losing people at corners at crucial moments.
Yes he had deficiencies, that’s true of most any centre back we’ve had that isn’t King. He also had significant strengths and was a good centre back who had a few exceptional games too, hence - not a crap player by any definition.

Rocha was a crap centre back. So was Bunjevcevic. Not Dawson.

I'd say Michael Dawson would stand a chance of being our best crap player. Loved by all (me included) and an ever present for alot of his time but never really that good.
Would love to have a player like Dawson right now. Gave everything every time

I loved Zokora even though he was crap.

I wouldn't call him crap but a player as slow as Corluka had no business being as good at RB as he was.

If he had have had pace to burn, he'd be another Balkans legend Modric or Boban.

most underated player..and my favourite..Darren Anderton.
Part of the famous 5, major player at Euro 96. Always been tagged with sick note tag, but contributed so much when he did play. Awesome player

If he didn’t have such bad injuries and lose a lick of pace he could have been De Bruyne level. Their quality and style was quite similar.
