So, while we're waiting for the season to start, thought I'd see if people had any opinions on who the best left footed player to play for Spurs is?

The reason I ask is this started as a pub chat that got a little out of control - so I thought I'd put it to the crowd of experts! Left footed players for some reason always tend to be a little more exotic and interesting, so...who do you reckon?

Waddle has to be up there (I think he was a leftie?!?!?!). Why you only hear Spurs and Wednesday fans in this country going on about him I don't know. Great, great player.

Bale. There's surely no argument. He's up there with the best in the World, who, in turn are up there with the best there's ever been.

Waddle; Ginola; Bale. In that order.

But Ginola had a spectacular right foot too.

Ginola was right footed. So it'll be between waddle, Bale and Cliff Jones (who when looking at old vids actually reminds me a bit of bale, i.e. he roams around, through the centre, right, left whatever he also scored a hell of a lot of goals).

Jonny Jackson ;) or lee young Po (worst right footed left back)

Ginola was pos more talented and skill full but bale has more power and hunger.

Surprised VdV hasn't featured more in this list...I think he's got my vote.
