Ok, I am a bit fed up reading all negative threads. Last year we were voted by the league managers I believe, the most entertaining team to watch. But what was your best team performance from Spurs last season?

For me it's a toss up between crushing Newcastle when they were on form and the Liverpool game at the lane. I think the Liverpool game just comes top as after that they knew they were not good enough. When King Kenny took over they looked like they could be a decent team. The signings of Carrol and Suarez made them look dangerous, but we completely contained them, made Suarez look like the twat he is and ruined their season.

Can anyone think of a better performance from us? (harry haters feel free to mention games we lost, it's not tedious- honest)

Either Liverpool at home, Newcastle at home or QPR at home. I'm gonna punt for Liverpool.

I'd say the obvious answer is Norwich away or Villa home, but the standard of opponent and bigger score lines mean I'd give it to Newcastle home followed by beating 10 man Liverpool 4-0

Newcastle home, Liverpool home and Norwich away for me, in that order.

Beating Arsenal at home.

I know, the Newcastle and Liverpool games were great, but beating Arsenal will become increasingly important as we are going head to head with them for 3rd and need to ensure we keep beating top 5 teams.

Obviously, worst game was...

Arsenal away - talk about getting hard just to be flipped over and violated.

Gott a be the liverpool home game, some of the football we played was mesmeric. The passing, movement, speed and finishing.
The only downside was we took it easy on them once 4 up. If we had a killer instict we could have scored 6/7/8 such was our dominance....

Didn't we score our 4th in injury time?

But it seems like you're kind of missing the point of the question raised by the OP

Best performance by the team not best result or which game/result did you enjoy the most

Arsenal actually outplayed us at home and we were some what lucky to win the game, I don't see how it could be labelled the best performance

Swansea at home

This game was right up there for me. That was stern test. Chelsea away was the best away performance we've put in at a "top 4" club for a long long time. We didn't get the win the performance deserved but just like Swansea we were organised, disciplined, worked hard and dominated them. And got better and more in charge as the game wore on. Norwich away, Liverpool and Newcastle were damn fine 90 minute performances too.

QPR we were poor second half. Arsenal at home we were just poor. Villa at home they were atrocious.

But we still beat our rival.

How often have we NOT turned our better play against them at home into a victory?

For me getting the win really was satisfying and it kept us going. Arsenal are one of the few teams that can out play us and we went out and despite that, won.

Don't get me wrong, we put on the razzle-dazzle against Liverpool and Newcastle - but I felt the team did not let Arsenal get the points, they put in the effort, despite being 'inferior' and delivered for the fans.

I know it won't be agreed with, but the team got that win by hook or by crook.

Indeed, the stats suggest we weren't totally outclassed.

yea but beating our rival is the RESULT not the PERFORMANCE

This thread was asking about what was the best performance by the team not what was the best result, or which result satisfied you the most.

We clearly played better in several games than we did against Arsenal who outplayed us and probably should have won but we in all honesty got lucky with a Walker wonder strike.

I'd maybe agree with you that it was the best result, certainly the most satisfying to win such a tight north london derby but considering this thread is specifically asking about the teams best performance of the season I just cannot see how you can name this match.

As much as I would never say that Arsenal was one of our best performances, the notion that they 'outplayed' us is horseshit. We let them have the ball, they did fuck all with it, we won. It wasn't a smash and grab. It was a NLD, we deserved to win.
