Personally, I think perhaps the thread should have stayed in Spurs Chat. Maybe if the title had been something like 'Martin Jol chats about Spurs' would have been better.

Having said that, I think maybe you've blow things a little out of proportion, Gilzeanking. Speaking for myself, I've never felt marginalised or shut out by the Mods, but then maybe I've been lucky. If you truly feel that there is a clique, GK, maybe you should raise your grievances by PM. If PT believes that the thread belongs in Gen Footy, then he's made his judgement, whether you or I agree with it. Accusations of clique-building do no-one any favours, least of all you. All you get is the wave of mildly derogratory posts (which I also think is taking things a little too far).

Anyway, thank you for posting this thread about BMJ. I still miss having the big fellah at Spurs. One thing I could count on with BMJ and that's that he could make me smile (except that time he kept calling Gabby Logan 'darling' - that was a little cringe-making). And like many a Spurs fan, I love Martin Jol and I have it good authority that he loves us too.

if jol mentions spurs and talks about certain aspects of his time with us then clearly it's spurs related and belongs in spurs chat.

much the same as if an ex player was giving his opinion on his time with us.

I concur with those who say it should've stayed in Spurs Chat and I also think there should be a vote :wink:. It's like a little competition sometimes - who can be first to suggest a thread be moved to another forum! Though in this case it was clearly the wrong decision... but what will happen? Will the mods swallow their pride and reverse it? Will they lock the thread and allow it to slowly dissappear? Stay tuned for another exciting episode!

On topic, I was one of the Atouba fans, a truely hilarious player, who couldn't get round a player without using at least fifteen different parts of his anatomy. Real shame he left.

Nicdic you must be the most negative and irritating spurs fan i know after Phil Collins. All you do is come on here and slate most articles and create negativity for every post. How about keeping your critical views to yourself and show a bit of respect to articles such as this who are based on martin jol relating to spurs. the blokes a legend and you are a typical "know-it-all" spurs fan who thinks he could do a better job than the manager and you think you talk on behlaf of all spurs fans.
