Coupla titbits from the local rag's first Jol interview .

He says Hamburg , together with Bayern are the biggest clubs in Germany (sure about that Mart?)

He will always play attacking football he says , in parallel with how it was at Spurs .

Van Der Vart is in the top 5 no 10s in Europe he reckons

Atouba is a 'big talent' and explained his departure from Spurs by saying that with Edman , we had 2 players for the same position. He also says that Hamburg got a good deal when they bought him .

His brother Cornelius , will be his personal assistant and will manage Jol's plans ,though won't be on the touchline . Apparently Jol's nephew Robert worked for him at Spurs (didn't know that)

He says he had bad luck with injuries at the end of his time with Spurs and says he was very happy at Spurs .

Says he's going to get a load of expert specialists to help in the areas of Technique ,Tactics and Fitness.

For what it's worth, the Hoddle thread should maybe have been moved to gen footy as well really but as he's not currently associated with any club it could be argued that it's Spurs relevant. As Jol is associated with a club (Hamburg) then it makes sense to stick it in here.

Either way, it doesn't really matter enough to stress over.

In the event of finding any further MJ comments about Spurs that I feel other Spurs fans do not have access to , I will not be posting on a forum among speculations over Fergerson's spending plans or the comings and goings at Man City... ...because its absurd .

Jol commenting on Spurs is Spurs chat and everyone knows it .

Also there is sure to be another MJ thread in Spurschat soon which will have been placed by a poster who has the respect of mods (or is in the right clique) , that will rightly continue untroubled .

The authorities here make the rules I accept this . but inventing absurd convolutions of these rules to protect an aggressive(possibly prejudiced) mod does noone any favours .

It is simple, this thread is about Hamburg and Jol, if it was about Jol and Tottenham then it should be Spurs chat. There isnt really much about us in there, just that there were injuries, the artical is about his new club

If we start talking about passed managers and there clubs in spurs hcat, then it makes sense to talk about ex players and how they are doing at there new clubs. In the end spurs chat would end up being over run by threads not even linked to Spurs anymore
