i'll happily admit to being pleasantly surprised by niko - didn't think he'd be this good - so big thanks to him and harry for getting him in - at a bargain price too :)

To think back atsome of the big money moves Spurs have made that have turned out shit, Niko for 2.5mill is a superb bit of business.

It means Modric goes to United next summer ?!

could be wrong but modric seems really settled here, partly because of the strong croation presence but also because he can probably see potential in the club and his still quite young

i dont see him leaving in summer no matter how good he plays from the last half

Utd are fucked financially, so i don't think they could afford the price Levy would put on Modric.

Yeh. Apart from that 80m they received from Real Madrid for Ronaldo in the summer:duh:

Well there is a line of thougth that the Ronaldo money was needed to service debt.

Fergie only spent about £20 million didn't he? Valencia, Obertan and Owen.

Well they are flagging at the moment, if he doesn't spend in January then it would appear there might be some credence to this thinking.

We have been in the middle of a global financial meltdown and companies who have large debts are having to reduce that debt like never before.

I thinkits amazing now that Modric is gonna find it tough getting back in the side, Niko has been our best player since the Wigan game

Its so amazing that it isn't actually true. You can put your house on it mate, mods will WALK, neh, SAUNTER back into the team. Like I said the ther day, Niko is top quality, Modric is world class!

United are in debt, but they will still spend if they see fit. I don't see them putting £30m on the table for Modric though, in fact, I think Fergie would prefer Niko given the choice.
