Vleminckx has scored four goals in his past three outings for NEC taking his tally for the season to 15.

At 25, the Belgian would offer Redknapp the cover he needs up front with Roman Pavlyuchenko looking at a loan deal to Real Madrid and Robbie Keane set to leave in January.

After jetting off to Madrid last week to look at Forlan who is based at Athletico, Redknapp said the striker was unlikely to come to White Hart Lane because of his £100,000 a-week wage.

A proven goalscorer, Vleminckx moved to NEC in 2009 from Belgian side Mechelen for just over £1 million and has since gone on to become a revelation at the club.
According to Dutch sources, Vleminckx's impressive goal tally this season has caught the eye of Spurs scouts with his poacher-like mentality and low price tag of around £3 million.

I'd take Jelle Vossen over him - better scoring record, better technique, younger. Not seen enough of this guy to be absolutely certain though, to be fair. If he's better than Vossen then he'll be handy. Belgium are going to have some team in the next few years.

I believe the PleatMeister would blow a fuse if he had to comment on a game with this fella:grin:

DP: "And it's the stocky little midfielder Looker Moodrock, and he's slipped the ball through to Flem-ichucky-picky-Bomba-ChipNovskiPops, the new forward at Tottenham Hotspur, who I recommended to Daniel Levy during my last spell as Tottenham Hotspur manager when I should have had the job for life and I shouldn't have lost my job for curb-crawling and this job should rightlfully be mine. Reveng-e, reveng-e. And it almost went through to Robbie Keane whose on the bench and is a great player and is a player I brought I bought to the club, Tottenham Hotspur, and is a great player":duh:

Some sources claiming he's in Brugge ahead of a possible deal with Club Brugge.

Anyone seen much of this guy? Never heard of him.
Know him very well. Seen him play numerous times at his schoolboy club SK Beveren and at KV Mechelen, where he played together with one of my best mates. Strong, tenacious striker, not prolific enough imo. He's doing well at NEC this season, but he didn't score too many in the Belgian League. I would be very surprised if he ended up with us, and gutted too frankly. He's totally not our standard of striker. Poor training mentality and not professional enough. He'd get on well with Gio though.

Name is pronounced Flea-minks.

Didn't do much prior to this season, said it was thanks to Kluivert (now an intern coach at NEC) that he's now vastly improved, but Kluivert looks on his way to become one of de Boers assistants next season at Ajax.

Maibe we end up with this guy after all. He scored again this weekend. Signing him would be better then nothing.

Even if he'd be 4th or 5th choice and hardly play?
Right now I rather Spurs buy players not just for the sake of it but for the sake of really improiving the team...
