Team talk should be easy. If we want to be playing Champions League football for the foreseeable future, this is the players' chance to show that they're up to the standard required. For the first time this season it's a test of ability, not only a test of mentality.

Will be if we`re two down after twenty minutes.

In fact I think its a massive test mentality wise.

Not too nervous. Just enjoy the event. I only get really nervous in the league.

If we lose, it will help our title chase. You have to see the positives.
I'm really the opposite for this. The league is really testing me nerves, because every match is must win, and it's grueling.

This match is like a bonus really. They are the favourites given their recent European pedigree.

Does anyone have any idea what their lineup will be? I was playing pro evo at the weekend but BVB aren't in it so I couldn't have a play around with their side.

I would guess something like Burki; Schmelzer, Sokratis, Hummels, Durm; Gundogan, Weigel; Reus, Mikhitaryan, Kagawa; Aubameyang. Tuchel may go with inverted fullbacks again, or Sahin or Bender in midfield at the expense of Kagawa, but the above should give you a main idea of how they tend to line up.

Sokratis is out I believe. Would probably indicate Bender as CB?
They are otherwise a 433 outfit, but have opted for 4231 in EL.

Like the easy team talk before the west ham game?

Never an easy team talk and our tactics and application need to be spot on if we are going to come out with a positive result.

To score and be within one goal of the final score will do me.

Really nervously excited and hope we perform no what the result. This is what it's all about after all, playing the big teams in Europe. We tore the Italians apart in the last game and they were a decent side so i'm fairly optimistic. If we get a win tonight (which isn't impossible) it will be huge for our confidence. We are due a good performance after all i think.

Come on you Spurs!!!!

Yeah I suppose that would make sense, especially since Tuchel seems to have no love for Subotic.
They played with a back 3 at the weekend Ginter-Bender-Hummels, I can see them changing both full-backs tonight & possibly Castro or Sahin coming into midfield.. I can see them freshening things up a bit..wouldn't be surprised if they line-up like this.
____________Burki_____________
Ginter-----Bender---Hummels----Park
--------------Weigl-------Castro-----------
-Rues------------Kagawa-----Mkkhitaryan
-----------------Aubemeyang

Kagawa seems to have fallen out of favor recently as he's been pretty poor, but Tuchel may understandably decide that the attack wasn't enough with only three of them supported by Gundogan against Bayern. Granted, that may have been a decision for respect against Bayern, but Dortmund needed to win that game. Likewise, I'll suspect they'll go for the win against us at home, so maybe we'll see a similar lineup/plan.

Conversely, they need to win this tie less than we do, as their CL automatic finish is all but secure. Between the two sides, I think it more likely that they'll be the one to air out some depth, so I like your suspicion of Sahin and/or Castro being selected.

The other possibility if Kagawa doesn't start is Gundogan (he looked well fooked coming off against Bayern or Sahin at cam.. the other option is Ramos plays on left with Mkkhitaryan cam..

If we don't go with a strong line-up we could get a right going over.. Full-strength & at the least we will give them a game & cause them problems especially in the air..set-pieces could be vital...it's a good chance for us to see what our level is & where we can improve

I thought they played 4-3-3 this season.

He didn't say it's not a test of mentality; he said that it's a test of ability and (i.e. "not only") mentality.
