Gus Poyet hopes both Jermaine Jenas and Ledley King will be fit to face Fulham at the Lane on Boxing Day.
Both undergo late tests - JJ missed out on Saturday's derby at Arsenal with an ankle problem sustained in the Carling Cup win at Manchester City while having returned to reserve action after his knee injury, Ledley was unavailable for Arsenal because of a slight thigh strain.

There is further good news as Darren Bent is expected to be fit after a hip problem also ruled him out at Arsenal.

Gareth Bale's damaged foot will be in plaster for six weeks and the injury sustained against Birmingham will be re-assessed after that period.

Otherwise, Michael Dawson, Ricardo Rocha, Anthony Gardner and Benoit Assou-Ekotto remain out and Didier Zokora is suspended.

Good News if Ledley can make it. The next few games over the Christmas period are vital that we win to get back up the table.

Let's wait and see what the 'wond' blows in.....however, the 'make shift' defence, at Scumite, was exceptional (ok, rose coloured glasses, perhaps) but a below par, out of normal match fitness, King may upset our 'purring' CD animal.....hopefully not.....
On the other hand....there may not be a better test or a worse team to get the King back? Dawson may be a less inviting inclusion ? The man has demons to banish.....methinks COYS!

Don't get too excited fellas. Gus Poyet HOPES that he will be fit so it isn't cast iron yet and we definitely don't want to rush him back. Be damm nice if he was though!!

Yeah but either way he's at least VERY CLOSE to a come back.

I'm also slightly concerned by Dawsons absence of late. Would be nice of the club to explain his absence a bit more.
