I got faith in the fella and I really think he will make it.

I have never understood why some people just write players off simply because they are not instantly world class.

Not only our answer, but hopefully Englands answer too.

Proper centre forward that lad, dare I say it, but in the Shearer mould...

The worst thing about Kane is his gormless, awkward way of speaking when interviewed. Something just doesn't quite work properly in regards his mouth/face.

But given that has no bearing on his footballing ability, I'll let that slide.

He's basically a southern Peter Beardsley and I'll take that :)

I'm pleased that the Manager is managing him and not doing a Sterling with him. He's still young and is learning and will inevitably make mistakes or go through a dry run and it's then that his learning and our support from the terraces will be the most valuable.

High praise indeed from the big man. I would be delighted if he turns out to be the answer to our striking problems. The thing that gives him the biggest chance of making it happen is his desire. Interviews with Vertonghen and Lamela suggest that Kane really does put the work in, staying around for extra training.

After Kane's blunder in goal yesterday I'm sure Friedel must have changed his mind about that ;)

And I'm willing to bet Woy will continue to overlook him despite England's bleak striking options of late.

Edit: Yet picks Townsend who only can't get into our first XI, but fails to impress in our B team as well. Go figure.

I harped on his constantly picking townsend in the england thread and got shit for it because of townsend basically saving his job.

I'd rather he does his talking with goals than be like Harry you know who.

I think his tongue is too big for his mouth

It's not that bleak. Welbeck, Sturridge and Rooney are all leagues ahead of Kane currently. And to be fair Kane hasn't really shown much form in his prem appearances.

In the whole 30 minutes he has played this season?

Kane played very well last season in the Premier league.

You shut your mouth. Have you not seen the Channel 5 mockumentary? Rodgers is a great man manager.

That is nonsense. Kane has barely played in the prem this season and got 3 in 3 starts (if I remember correctly) at the end of last term.

Why our fans have to knock our players is beyond my comprehension.

I do think Welbeck, Rooney and Sturridge are ahead of him but all of them have been given chances in the prem, let's revisit once he has had a few starts in the league.

No need to hate Townsend for getting picked. Roy told townsend if he doesnt start playing he wont be picked but has been because he was one of the best players for england last season

Also Im happy Kane hasn't been picked yet. Rooney, Sturridge and Welbeck are better

What is a travesty is that Chambers gets picked over Dier. No excuse for that
