Brighton have lots of key players out. Dunk being a huge loss to them. Trossard as well.

Great time to play them....fancy us to pick up all 3 points.

Couple of key players injured for them, they will have lots of possession so we need to be clinical in front of the goal.

Are their players doubtful?
or definitely confirmed out?

Because I’m expecting a few to make a miraculous recovery.

For whatever reason we don’t tend to do well away at Brighton

You are not wrong, but as a Club we need to change this mentality. We need to be going into every game at least thinking we can get a result. Mentality is such a massive thing in Football.

Tough away fixture against a well-coached and hard working side, even with them missing a handful of players. I predict a 1-2 win, but a draw wouldn't surprise me.

Definitely agree our players need a mentality shift, still need convincing myself with this bunch.

Especially away from home

Yep, massive test. We haven't won away yet under Conte IIRC
Brighton have a free week I guess.
So once again we play a team with more recovery time behind them
No idea who will be fit, anyone know what Gil and Emersons status is?

Game now in real doubt according to the Telegraph with a seventh player testing positive this morning.

If the game goes ahead, we could line up with something like this.

Lloris
Doherty Tanganga Dier Sanchez Regulion
Skipp Hojberg
Lo Celso
Bergwijn Kane

With subs including Dele & Tanguy, we still should have enough to beat them, with their depleted centre backs …

Will be a few SC members torn as to which team they want to win I'd imagine.

I think Brighton would agree to postpone things

We will now need to fit in two games if this gets postponed. Gonna be packed out towards end of the year I imagine.

Unless Uefa postpone Thursdays game too, we will have plenty of space to fit them in.

Depends really. If we go out on Thursday then we'll have loads of slots available while the big teams are playing in Europe. If not, there's still the slots for the LC semi-finals if we lose to West Ham, two FA Cup replay slots if we don't draw against Morecambe or in Round Four, FA Cup 4th/5th/6th round if we go out before then, an international break without any games for the European nations we could use in a real pinch (maybe even put an FA Cup 4th round tie there if it's against someone weak and play a PL game on 4th Round day if Brighton/Burnley go out in R3), and I think one empty midweek at the very end of the season unless us or Burnley reach the FA Cup final. There should be enough time even to fit in the Leicester game too if that has to be postponed, unless we go unusually deep in all three cup competitions.

Yeah thats true - lots of permutations depending on how we progress in cup competitions. I think just sack the game off the Europa conference one. Id rather go for the carabao cup than the Europa conference.

I cant imagine leicester will be postponed... thats another nine/10 days off.

Problem is that as I understand it it's 10 days of isolation, with "Day 1" being the day after the positive test is recorded. That makes next Thursday Day 10, meaning we'd still be down at least 7 players and with everyone else being considered a close contact. I guess they could potentially move it to the Friday night, but that would mean also pushing back Liverpool and West Ham by a day which is probably considered too much chaos what with policing, staffing etc

I thought they already were tested - shit show this. Youre right about the 10 days and im presuming theyre getting tested today which will make it nine days i think.

It was easier to change the scheduling where there are no fans so i doubt they would push the Leicester game back etc - theyd rather postpone it.

To be honest id love a free run at beating Liverscum and have two weeks rest
