No denying it was a poor performance and showed our lack of depth so some signings needed. Particular at CB to give us some depth.

Yet we still could easily have got back into that last 20-30 minutes.

The most frustrating thing was terrible decision making at both ends in that first half. At least keep showing some attacking intent and energy. Son was as guilty as anyone today.

Disgraceful performance today imo.

we will suffer in jan

would it be possible to block our players going to asian/african cup as we have so many players out injured? Surely we are paying them and we will have to play youth instead.

I still think Johnson will come good but he has shown no goalscoring threat. He is like walcott bit without the goals

We need to get rid of Royal (decent defensive full back but we don’t play them in this system), Dier, Skipp, Hojbjerg, Lo Celso (talented but too flaky) and Gil.

We can properly judge Ange after he’s had another summer window to form his own team. He needs to get some heads straight though, our discipline is awful.

Son and Sarr were non existent.

Johnson is a bit of a coward

Our CBs aren’t CBs so I don’t blame them.

two absolutely brain dead moments from Lo Celso and Kulu both because they didn’t get tight enough to their men.

Hojbjerg is ok on the ball when it isn’t a pressure situation (up the pitch) but hides from
The defence when they need a passing option.

Udogie and Vicario come out with a little credit.

I see there are a lot of baldy fans amongst us - still supporting the investment-shy investment guru who refuses to pay up & actually invest in the football team (we are a football club last time I checked, not beyonce's fucking boudoir) but will happily cough up for more hotels, real estate, NFL, etc.. When are people going to see this fraud for what he is instead of blindly defending him
There is an ousting thread.

That last 20 minutes won't paper over the cracks for me. For the first 70 minutes we were shocking
It was like any game under Conte or Jose really. Throw the kitchen sink in the last 20 minutes.

We need investment.

We were awful yet had plenty of chances at 1,2,3 down and shot ourselves in the foot all game..

Im surprised you've been triggered by people criticising a disgraceful performance. Each to their own and all that though.

Think it's fair to be done with some of the insane hyperbole you usually find in MD threads tbh. I usually just skip past it because I know it's silly reactionary stuff that people would likely disassociate themselves from in the cold light of day, but still

Say what you want about Lamela (he wasn’t the most talented) but his heart, drive, and determination makes him a far better player than Bryan Gil.
I think honestly Gil has a lot of that. He just has zero body mass. Gets brushed off like a fly, so it doesn't matter.

Lamela had some strength in him.

Our discipline is costing us big time. To give two stupid penalties away in one game is so poor. They cut through us like butter, but we really could have got something from that game.

No point turning up for 25% of a match.

And in a world where we have VAR, I have absolutely no idea what the fuck Kulu was thinking for the pen.
Both penalties were ridiculous. Braindead from both of them

Because he somehow got away with it against Everton. Our players unfortunately are not the brightest
