I can't believe that I laugh at it. It is in reality a crime!!
never in my life did I intend to see Sepp Blatter dancing, all can say is thanksFifa Congress live http://m.fifa.com/
It amazes me, the difference in what it takes to be a celebrity in the US compared to in the UK. Presenters like Oliver and especially Jon Stewart redefine the word prolific. Sure, they have a team to put a lot of the material together, but to go on screen, night after night, and make people howl with laughter or think about a subject they hadn't considered before, that takes some incredible stamina and talent. They encourage laughter, debate, change and do it all in a way that draws people in, to stand with them or against them, either way it really doesn't matter.
Over here, all you need is a once a week chat show, make suggestive comments or give cheeky looks to camera and you're worshiped by thousands.
Are you forgetting that's where the Kardashians hail from?
That is a very good point.
However, that portion of America, the empty-headed rich set, are all penned up in that rehab clinic... what's it called... oh, yeah; Hollywood.
But look at their previous even - Jay Leno, Letterman, Dick Cavett and the legend that was Johnny Carson - they've got some serious heavyweights, compared to our lightweight contenders.
Maybe the overall calibre of their celebs is better, but I still think for every Joey Essex there's a Snooki or whoever those people from Jersey Shore are
I think it's an effect to make it easier for Americans to understand the accent. John Oliver is from Birmingham.Hilarious but why is every brit over there slightly public school posh?

I'm quite sure you're right. I'm sure he'll get the votes he needs from the non-european confederations. There are rumblings from the FA tonight wanting Blatter out, he was supposed to have ended his tenure this year but wants to be re-elected. Sad thing is he probably will be.
I agree, but continue the comparisons - they had Carson, we had Bruce Forsyth. They get Leno, we get noel Edmunds, they get Colbert and Stewart, we have Graham Norton and Jonathon Ross... We really don't measure up
