Can any Bristol based Spurs recommend a pub to watch the Inter match?

City centre/Clifton area preferably. Reasonably priced beer, big screen and not too full of idiots (my Welsh accent isn't always appreciated in the city!) are my only requirements.

Ta in advance.

Sure thing. One of the best is the Sportsman/Annexe off Gloucester Road, near the cricket ground (Nevil Road). The Sportmsan is a typical sports pub with pool tables, lager, cider and big screens. The annexe, out the back, is a real ale pub, with three screens. Both offer stonebaked pizzas for £6, or two for £10. It's where I watch all Spurs games that I'm not at. There are a couple of others on Gloucester Road too, such as the Rising Sun and Cat and Wheel, but these aren't brilliant.

In Clifton, there's the Roo Bar. An Aussie themed bar with loads of screens and cheep booze and food. It's next to Clifton Down railway station and not too bad if you like that sort of thing. Racks also markets itself as a sports bar now, but I've not been in there for a long time.

But if you're in town, you're more limited, really. It's not great. A lot of people tend to watch football in the Walkabout, which is pretty dire. Better is the Old Fish Market on Baldwin Street, a nice red-bricked pub that does Thai food as well, and has a few big screens.

I watched the Arsenal game in Walkabout. It is dire in terms of clientele but the screen is massive and v high quality

I like the Hill on Cotham Hill - I think the food and atmosphere are better than the Roo Bar, and you can usually get a sofa with a decent view if you get there early. The pizzas are top notch too.

The Ram on Park Street is pretty good if you get a decent seat.

The greenhouse on park street has a massive projector if you are that side of the city but sit up on the balcony as its a better view

I watched us beat Arsenal 5-1 in The Hill on Cotham Hill, not far from the centre. The screens aren't the best but for some reason it was packed with Spurs fans and the atmosphere was amazing and everyone was chanting. Probably a fluke.

Its near the Roo bar so if the atmos os crap at The Hill, you could pop over there and see it on big screens.

Either the Walkabout, or Bar Eton (I think) on Baldwin Street (very central).

Not a big fan of The Hill.

Alter Ego on Whiteladies is a great place for a proper Spurs crowd. Saw the Emirates game there earlier in the season and the whole place was bouncing the whole time (despite the result). Same prices more or less as the Hill but way better atmosphere. Plenty of backups too. In town, the Old Fish Market is pretty good.

Drop me a message if you're in town for another Spurs game and fancy some company.

Should we get a Bristol Supporters club going?!

I never venture into town to watch the games but I have a mate visiting for the city game so I might try one of these out. Not walkabout though!

Just bumping this as meeting a mate tomorrow who is visiting the city and because I'm on the outskirts city centre pubs aren't my forte!

Does anyone happen to know if any of these pubs show 3pm kick offs via our good friends in Greece/Dubai etc!? Loads of 3pm games on tomorrow so might be good.

I think the Coronation on Dean Lane near Bedminster ASDA shows Greek coverage of Premiership games.

Probably best to give them a call to check though:

Cheers SK. Probably a bit far out for tomorrow though as will be meeting in the centre. Was going to try the Ram but not sure what they do for football. Might just go there and then head up to Roo bar if no good although would rather watch a game than Jeff and the crew!

It's not that far really. Probably 5 minutes from the Louisiana, which is fairly central (well...as far as the waterfront goes). I can't imagine any of the pubs around Park street/Whiteladies Road showing 3pm games.

I'm going to be in The Sportsman watching this on Sunday. Best pub to get a good view of the game.
