Do I have to buy this channel seperately like I have done with ESPN on my sky package?

Yes unless you have BT broadband then it is free. you have to order it direct from BT. You can do it online, it's £15 one off set up fee and £12 per month after.

Sorry, being a bit of a plum here but let me get this straight, if I have bt broadband then bt sport is free to me?
No set up fee or monthly charge?
Seems a bit too good to be true to me!

Spurs v Chelsea, spurs v man utd and Liverpool v Everton. Apart from them there are no must see games there for me, for 15 quid a month on top of sky think I might pass and watch the 3 mentioned in the pub!

Not really. It's an offer to get people to switch broadband provider to BT. It's worked for me, will be paying £2 per month more than TalkTalk but get BT Sport which is worth the £2
