From what I've seen Alonso seems to start games quite often with some of his best players on the bench. In this game Wirtz, Frimpong, Grimaldo all used as substitutes. It seems like they have the confidence to leave it late and know they'll score when they bring the big guns on.

My hate for Xhaka has been replaced by Saka, so glad to see him scoring
