Anyone else see the Call the Midwife this weekend?

It featured (ampongst many other things) a bit where a young man was on his death bed and was being encouraged to stay alive so he could see his baby boy and to see Spurs do the double in the 1961 . One of the writers must be a Spurs fan!...Anyway, brought a lump to my throat watching it.

I do worry, born in 1955 but too young to remember/know about 1961/62/63.

Had some glory days down the years but now 60 and wondering if the big one will happen.

I was born in 1957 and I can vaguely remember sitting on my Dad's shoulders outside Tottenham Town Hall where the Double Team had their Civic Reception.

Although I have been lucky enough to witness numerous Cup wins over the years I would love to see them win the league whilst I still have the faculties to enjoy it.

Not the sort of thing to admit to on a football forum.

What was it like- Seeing Tottenham win the Title (and FA Cup- obviously)?

Among my most precious memories for sure.

I couldn't get a Cup Final ticket in 1961 but made it to Wembley with my dad the following season when we beat Burnley to win the Cup for a second consecutive year. The Double season was sensational and I went to every home game. I was still at school and didn't get to away games except for London matches until I was working in 1964 and earning.

I'm so hopeful we will see some more glory very soon with our current team. It's been a long time...
