Its terrible. The pitch looks so small and it looks like attacks are on the edge of the box when in fact they are quite a way out. Cant see the far side clear enough either. Really hope they bring back the normal camera.

Having heard back I can confirm that the camera position has only been changed when filming games at White Hart Lane. The reason being as that the higher camera angle used to be partially obstructed by the stand supports and by lowering the camera angle slightly this has offered an overall better experience allowing all action to be seen. A particular example being when viewing corner kicks from certain positions.

Hope this clarifies things

This was the reason given by SKY ^

We understand that this an issue that some of our customers are very unhappy with, however this is the way the camera is set at just now. We do appreciate the feedback you have given to us.

If you have nay further queries, then let us know.

This was the second 'answer' we got from SKY ^

Did it impede the view of corner kicks being taken??? I never noticed it. Apart from this one tiny negative the higher camera view was far far superior to the new camera angle. I'd love to know who came up with this decision.

It did if they kept it on the big camera, down the left bottom corner i think it was.

However they always did and still do change to the mobile camera down at the corner flag anyway when we have corners. :bang:

alternatively, they could stick the camera in the West Stand  (although that would really mess me up!)

Anyone here also a member of Glory Glory? There's a thread there on the camera angle (page 7) which could be revived to raise awareness of the petition.

Had a look at the Sky forum. Good that you're not letting it rest, GoldstarYid.

I'm not giving up on this, it ruins the experience massively for me when it comes to watching Spurs now. I live too far away from the Lane to get there consistently so i rely on Sky to see games, whether live or on Football First.

I don't suppose anybody here knows what the best way to contact the club about this is?

What I find funny is that with the current camera angle, the poles obstruct the corners considerably. So if there was a problem with the old angle (which I don't remember), this hasn't solved it.

So it's basically a bullshit reason. I'll sign the petition and pass it around.
