What's new

Can anyone see us getting anything from the next 3 PL games?

I don't want to be the voice of despair, but can anyone honestly/realistically see us getting anything from Arsenal away, Southampton at home and Man City away?

The only thing I hope for is that the media blame on Pochettino that will most likely follow doesn't affect him too much. I really like him, and feel sorry for him. He has to make the best of what he's got and I don't think it is his fault at all. I also hope the fans stay on his side as well. There are others to blame, starting with the players and the board.

Maybe Southampton at home... but not much out of the next 3 games. It's those after that we need to hit the groun running on though.

Arsenal & City will probably destroy us.
Southampton at home we really should be beating. But we all said that on Saturday.

If the whole team shows passion and fight we can get something out of the Arsenal game. Southampton we should get something from that too.

Not sure what will happen Mullers, but we will all know a lot more about the bottle of some of our so called "stars".
Time for some to step up.

For a few years we seemed to play out of our skins against the big boys, getting some great results against them all. Of course, that all changed last year so we need to get back to that, especially now that we have dropped 5 points against significantly weaker teams.

If we can't expect to beat Southampton at home, we're in for a bad season. Just because they have three more points than us in the first five, doesn't mean they all of a sudden are world beaters. Yes, we have played some shit games, but we have played some good ones too. Don't forget that.

I fully expect three points vs. Southampton, and you never know in NLDs (after all, we only lost by one goal last season).

yeah i can see us getting 4 goals from arsenal , 2-2 hard fought draw against soton and a pure footballing lesson from city....

And then our captain , leader , legend kaboul will say "we will sure bounce back from these defeats , after all defeat is also a learning curver for us"

lol. we got done by west brom at home. Southampton aren't the same team they were last season but they are much stronger than West Brom.

I'd be very happy with a spirited draw against Arsenal, a 2 goal win against Saints, and anything but a hammering from City as last year we conceded double figures over the two games I think.

Random I know, but can people remember AVB saying Arsenal were on a downward spiral after we squeezed past them 2-1? What a laugh that turned out to be - they seem to have got stronger since then and since that game we seem to have gone backwards. Hopefully Poch can make it stop!

I'm just putting my faith in Poch, Steve. I'm hoping that he will manage to get the players fired up.

I think we can probably put the West Brom display down to a bad day at the office. If we use that game as a barometer of how the season's going to pan out, then we can all expect to be playing in the Championship next year. We're a much better team than we showed on Sunday. No need to believe that we aren't going to, or are incapable of having a much better performance in the coming weeks.

So what? Every game is different. We beat West Ham, who beat Liverpool, who beat us etc. We lost at home to one of the shittier sides in the league, but that doesn't mean we're gonna lose every home game.

My point was, never expect to beat anyone. It will only end in tears.

I don't think we ever had a good run of results vs the top sides.

No, I'm saying that for a while we visibly upped our game against the big boys. We played like we have a damn and in occasion played really well... Something that stopped last season.
