Can someone please explain Why Tim Sherwood is so hated?

Total and utter bollocks. That performance was shit and another defeat at home. Sherwood is not the answer. He has no management experience for god sake

He's gonna get stick, but did Sherwood go out and tell the defence not to put in any aerial challenges? Individual performances were the root cause of that defeat.

No the problem was that we couldn't keep possession when we went up and kept on playing at our higher tempo instead of calming it down.

He deserves the stick too, surrendering a lead to an abject team and refusing to substitute Defoe who would have caused more harm to West Ham if he'd gone around punching people.

Yes he did play the cross for Ade but we shouldn't have even needed it

The substitutions were the difference.
Fat Sam new what he was doing, Tim's substitutions made litle sense.
With Andros injures, we should have brought on a player like holtby - not chadli (nowt agaisnt chadli - wrong man, wrong time).
Then you're trying to hold a 1 goal lead and you take off a striker than can hold ball up and leave only defoe upfront - we went from a team to 10 men at that stage and spammers wrestled control of the game.

Team selection and formation was strange from start of game.

Not hating on him, but the the substitutions were poor and he got out-thought too easily.

I agree Adebayor shouldn't have come off at that point, but who knows how fit he is? Rose also seems to be getting nursed back. It was the Townsend injury that threw things I think.

At the end of the day the major errors came from PL level defenders defending aerial bombardment as if they were an U9's team.

For me it's because he was a shit player for us and I world expect him to be equally bad as a manager. Having him, Ferdinand and Freund on the sideline is just a reminder of a dreadful period in our history.

while we could have defended better, if we had a striker uptop who knew what onside was and how to hold/ pass the ball we'd not have been bombarded so much. we were always going to struggle with a makeshift defence and the spammers worked that by launching long balls all game, because we kept giving ball back to them.

I know it's relatively unimportant but coming out with stuff like 'I'm 1 million percent sure Bale is staying' this summer points towards him being either a liar or an idiot.

I'm going to go with both. Liar and idiot.

I think he was experimenting, I think he meant to leave certain players on to see how they fared.
Defoe is shit and past it, and i hope Sherwood realises this now.
I coldn't understand his substitutions, and i put that down to him experimenting and thinking "it's only the League Cup and we're playing a second rate West Ham so can afford to experiment". Well, needless to say, the experiment was a failure.

BUT reasons to be cheerful, we played quicker with more purpose and more direct that before. I still think we will beat Southampton.
