Cardiff's 3-0 defeat by Crystal Palace in early April should not be allowed to stand, the Welsh club have said in a five-page letter seen by the BBC.

The document, sent by club lawyers to the Premier League, alleges Palace boss Tony Pulis knew sporting director Iain Moody was trying to obtain Cardiff's starting line-up before the game.

Cardiff claim they have proof Moody succeeded and say this breaches league rules. Pulis declined to comment when contacted by the BBC, although Palace have previously denied the claims.

Premier League strugglers Cardiff go on to state that clubs should act in good faith to one another and call into serious question the integrity of the match.

They say Crystal Palace cheated and want the Premier League to take serious action.

Palace won 3-2 at Everton on Wednesday to climb to 11th in the table, on 40 points, a figure Pulis says is enough to ensure their Premier League survival.

Desperation.

Has there been a single instance of a result being overturned in 22 years of the Premier League?

Look at them, now they're safe, getting all huffy with demands.

Pulis has genuinely done a magnificent job there though, can't take that away from him no matter how many dastardly acts go on behind the scenes.

Cardiff aren't safe....

IMO they should be punished for bringing the game into disrepute, especially given the leak was from their end!

If Tan hadn't fucked around and undermined Malky Mackay then they'd probably be safe and this wouldn't matter.

hang on, yeah, i read that wrong - i'll be honest, i didn't get much further than the first few lines as the kettle boiled and i wandered off, came back and replied from what i remembered :D i thought the complaint was from Palaces end... ignore me. Frankly, all my attention was on the steam mug of rosie and the jammy toast i had by that point (y)

He gets what he deserves for being an interfering prick. It's a game to him. Cardiff fans aren't the best but I sympathise with them when it comes to people like Tan. They're a cancer to the sport.

Was their starting line up a huge surprise then? or was it, in fact, fairly similar to the other games they have played? uh.. huh.

SHIT! They have Marshall in goal (again!) and a bunch of weird Norwegian signings dotted around. Same as last week! What are we going to do!?

I'll never feel sympathy for Cardiff fans. Animals.

Yep. Been living in Bristol now for over 15 years and have experienced a lot of different away supporters coming into the city on Saturdays. Sometimes there's a bit of trouble when Swindon come down. Plymouth fans have broken a few windows in the past. Millwall? too heavily policed due to their ridiculously exaggerated reputation.

Leeds fans are a bunch of ****s, but then we all knew that anyway. Top of the tosser tree are Cardiff fans. Knuckle dragging morons of the lowest order. I hope they get relegated, followed by Tan relocating the club to some distant island. The guy is a legend in my eyes. If he renames their stadium 'Bunch of ****s Arena', I'll name my first-born after him.

You're thinking about naming your kid Tan King? I suppose it's lucky his name isn't Vincent Wan.

Even though i'm Cardiff born and bred, I have to agree in that we have a large proportion of absolute bell-end supporters which has been cultured with such anti-English venom.

That being said, will still be my home town club and can only hope that Ole gets his and the teams act together to steer them to safety but it's almost certainly in more hope than expectation.

As for this supposed document sent by Cardiff's lawyers - laughable!

If we lose to Fulham I wouldn't be too upset as at least we would have contributed a little bit extra to Cardiff's relegation.

To me this just stinks of Cardiff's ownership trying to find an excuse to sue the PL for a bunch of money and try to get a settlement.
