Yep having seen Bute fight 3 times and his former unbeaten record was like a who's who of bums meant that Froch was huge value.

I like Froch he has put himself in there with a lot of good fighters and nobody can dispute that. I'd like to see him fight Kessler again but he should stay away from Ward. Ward has to step up a weight to find any competition because there is nobody close at SMW.
Dawson will give Ward plenty of trouble when they fight, believe me!
Froch is a true British Boxing great. Delighted for him. Followed him since he was amateur and to be honest I didn't see him becoming a three time champion of the world.
Bute suffered from stagnating and milking the cash cow dry in Canada against grade B/C fighters. Froch has been through a whole host of top names since his first world title fight, probably the greatest run of opponents a British fighter has ever had in sequence. This was meant to be Bute's coming out fight and where he tempted Ward in to battle. Instead he found that the grade A fighters are a whole different ball game!
Kessler up next, in England for revenge. Put the house on Froch stopping him. Carl seemed to box within himself a bit in their first fight and I thought he let that one get away from him.
Ward is a class operator. people call him boring but I love watching fighters demonstrate all the old tricks ( Hopkins gets slated but for me he has always been a guilty pleasure, nip, tuck, cunning etc, it's what the sport is all about ) Still, even though he beat Carl comfortably, Andre looked flustered in the last 2-3 rounds and it would have been interesting had it been under the old 15 distance.
If they rematch I think Froch would do a bit better but Ward would still win, with a bit to spare too. His style is wrong for Carl.
