here's hoping for a home draw - as long as we get a home tie don't really mind who we draw as long it's not chelsea - even if it was Utd/pool I'd quite fancy our chances as they would play a weakened team and we wouldn't (presumably)
I really want to wallop Newcastle this season. They embarassed us over the past two years. We should be beating them so its about time we shut them up.
tough draw indeed. More so because our record there is shocking as of late! Perhaps Atouba should be signed up on a short term deal just to play in this game and score another cracking winning goal
What will be interesting is the fact that both us and the barcodes are bound to sign a player or two before the deadline. Our line-ups could be very well different than they are currently.
Remember at the moment, they've lost Milner to Villa, Duff is out for 3 weeks, Martins out for a few weeks also, so they need players in as badly as us!
Why all the negativity? Sure it would have been nice to have been at home but Newcastle aint exactly a major force! If we are going to do anything in this competition we'll have to win tougher games than this! I honestly cant tink of any of their players that i'd like to see at Spurs!
That said if we don't buck our ideas up soon then whoever we drew would have been irrelevant!
Weird thing was i had a dream last night that we got Newcastle away in the cup. Also that we lost 3-0 to chelski with Fat Frank scoring the third, i hope not.
For all of you who have greeted this draw with disappointment and the all to familiar negativity I would like to remind you that Newcastle (with what was very close to Keegan's preferred line-up) only managed to scrape past Coventry City in the last round on Tuesday.
