It's too good to turn down . Manure must be mad paying that money. For that kind of money we can buy 3 players just as good.

Berbatov ?

No, that's what everyone was saying about Carrick. Instead it has taken us 2 years to get over the loss of Carrick from our team pattern. In fact we still haven't.

Let's hope if this story turns out to be true we won't be comparing the signing of Zokora in midfield with the signing of whichever cut price striker we bring in to fill the gap.

I say it now- we will regret it if we sell Berbatov. He is a world class player and anyone who thinks Darren Bent is a ready made replacement needs their head examined.

I now know how Spammers fans feel when we raid their best players. I am just waiting for the "Spurs are our feeder club chants " from the red and white hordes.

Levy - say it ain't true. stick it on the website that Spurs are not a selling club. And apply that to Keane too.

Depends how we spend the money. L'arse sold the moody Anelka and bought Henry for half the price. They may sell Kleb and get Archevin for the same money. Trouble is, Comolli is no Whinger .

berbatov wants to go, he has a bad grumpy negative attitude and is affecting the other players in training...

I think £28mil is a good price for him, getting a £17mil profit is bloody good!!

He should go at that price, I wish him all the best at Man U.. but I obviously preferred if he went abroad..

milkman, as much as I enjoy your posts, where did you get the impression that he is affecting the other players?

The People!

may be an unreliably shit source, but surely if you have someone as grumpy as Berbatov then he will affect the players morale in pre-season training...

But where do we get this impression that he is grumpy? We really need to think about just how much the media is leading us to believe.

I don't read newspapers anymore because it's all tailormade to one person's POV.

I'll make my own mind up on matters I care about but we shouldn't believe everything we read.

Look at Berbatov in postmatch interviews, he has never once appeared grumpy, quite the opposite.

On the pitch, he gets frustrated, as many do. Even Keano throws his arms up in frustration when he feels he should have got the ball.

We're being made to believe shit, to be frank, whoever he is.

Now, lets wait till we see him in any jersey other than a Spurs one before we jump to conclusions.

Now that we have Ramos, we do not need creative Foward/Striker anymore.

We need Bent. Berba OUT!

Wake up.We will regret selling Berbatov if we do, and we will pay the price just like we did with Carrick.

You can see how it will play out if you're honest with yourself, and to be quite honest it's gonna be painful to watch. Bent or Milito trying to fill Berbatov's place?

It will NOT be fun.Believe me.

Who are we going to get to replace him? A decent replacement will cost at least 20m unless we find an unknown Eastern European or South American, add to that Bentley at 17m, is it really worth selling?

Fact is players have prices. Even Utd have sold their best players at times (Stam and Beckham come to mind, Ince as well), the scum likewise.

We cant offer CL football yet, and we arent going to pay obscene wages, so obviously players will want to move to a bigger club if the chance presents itself. As long as they dont whinge or moan when the move doesnt happen then thats ok with me.

Look at most of our players, they would love to play CL football week in week out, play for a team that is challenging for the title. If they didnt I would wonder whether they have the ambition and drive that we need.

If we sell berbatov for 30 mill, like Carrick I will be sad to see him go, but will readily accept its a fantastic bit of business the club has done, and I will give his replacement the opportunity to show us what he can do. He wont be the same style of player like Berbatov, but he may be just as effective, and if we finish fourth, we wont care.

Actually, Man Utd have only ever sold players that they wanted to get shot of. Ronaldo is the first time that they are being put to the test and no doubt they will have the resolve to put him in his place and keep him.

In the majority of cases the scum have also only sold when they wanted to.
