Sorry if this has been covered before but was talking about it at work today and can't find it mentioned anywhere on the first 5 pages

Is Robbie Keane available for the CC final? He made an appearance for Liverpool in a previous round against Crewe so first thought would be no he's cup-tied but....... he only played for 3 mins and somebody said that there used to be a rule saying if you had played less than 10 mins then you are available

Anybody know if this is true and if it is will Keano be available???

Aye, pretty much answered the question yourself. He's cuptied because of a few minutes against Crewe. :-(

Keane is cup-tied in the Carling Cup, courtesy of a three-minute cameo as a substitute against Crewe Alexandra in round three and, consequently, he will miss Tottenham's showdown with Manchester United in the final on 1 March. But he added: "It would mean more to me if Spurs won the Carling Cup [than if Liverpool won the league], even though I won't be playing at Wembley. I am a Spurs player now and Liverpool is gone."

So Keane, Defoe, Pavlyuchenko, Corluka, Cudicini, Campbell, and Palacios are all cup tied in one or the other. Some pretty good players in that list!

We need a Director of Football to sort that out. You know, get somebody in to do some long-term planning, so changing the manager every 18 months doesn't mean the squad keeps changing, and a lot of players can't play in several competitions.

Keane will play his part in the dressing room this year, hopefully inspiring us to an emphatic victory.

So what's our strongest line-up going to look like for the final?

Gomes/Cudicini

Corluka--King--Woodgate--Bale/BAE

Bentley--Jenas--Modric--Lennon

Pav--Bent

Palacios is the biggest miss there by a mile!

Cudicini is also Cup Tied so that will defo be Gomes in goal. BAE at left back for me and then that would be my lineup. But i have a feeling we'll play Pav up front alone with Modric in behind him and O'Hara in midfield. I'd be happy to see O'Hara start after missing out last year but prefer the 4-4-2.
